Epic Games has unleashed one of the most substantial updates in Fortnite’s history, reintroducing beloved weaponry that fans have eagerly awaited. Among the returning favorites are the Kinetic Blade, last seen two years ago, along with the Lock-On Pistol and the dependable Ranger Assault Rifle.
These weapons seamlessly integrate into the current season’s Japanese aesthetic, providing players with exciting new ways to engage in combat. The good news? These classic arms are readily accessible, with several methods to find them in-game.
1. Acquiring the Ranger Assault Rifle in Fortnite
To obtain the Ranger Assault Rifle in Mythic form, players must defeat the Shogun X NPC Boss, who teleports around the map during Battle Royale sessions. Alternatively, players can discover this rifle as floor loot or tucked away in chests scattered throughout matches.
The Ranger Assault Rifle debuted in Chapter 3, Season 1, featuring a slow yet precise fully automatic firing mechanism. With an Uncommon rarity, it delivers 31 damage per shot, making it an ideal choice for medium-range confrontations while maintaining a balanced damage output.
2. Securing the Lock-On Pistol in Fortnite
The Lock-On Pistol can be located during Battle Royale matches via floor loot, fishing, or within chests. It is classified under the Rare rarity tier.
This semi-automatic weapon offers rapid-fire capabilities and features an innovative tracking system that activates when players aim down sights, identifying targets up to 50 meters away. The Lock-On Pistol can unleash up to four bullets that lock onto an adversary, with the fourth bullet guaranteed to strike as a critical hit. However, once aimed, players cannot reload the weapon until they disengage.
3. Obtaining the Kinetic Blade in Fortnite
Players can acquire the Kinetic Blade in Battle Royale by finding it among floor loot, on Katana Stands, or hidden in chests. This weapon is exclusively classified as Epic Rarity.
The Kinetic Blade features two primary attacks: the Knockback Slash, delivering 35 damage while pushing enemies back, and the Dash Attack, which propels the player forward for a devastating 60 damage hit. Players can utilize the Dash Attack up to three times, with a cooldown period of 10 seconds between uses. Note that every Dash Attack reduces the blade’s durability by 5%, while each Knockback Slash decreases it by 1%.
