In this chapter, you can miss out on a Spirit transformation known as the Second Rat Prince Spirit if you don’t defeat the King of Flowing Sands first during their duo boss battle.

When battling these two in Sandgate Village, prioritize defeating the King to obtain the Spirit of the Prince upon his defeat.

All Missables in Chapter Three

Another Spirit you can easily miss is the Apramana Bat Spirit. This can happen if you unlock the Shrine that appears after encountering Zhu Bajie before dealing with the Apramana Bat.

Additionally, on the North Shore of the Bitter Lake, players can overlook a unique Soak item called Turtle Tear if they don’t interact with the snake bones following the battle with the Apramana Bat. The giant turtle will produce a tear that players can collect and utilize with their Gourd.

You can also miss the Auspicious Lantern, a Rare Curio, if you eliminate Captain Wise-Voice in the Pagoda Realm before defeating the nine Lantern Wardens.

Chapter Four has several items you can miss if you’re not attentive. Avoid fighting the Duskveil boss of this chapter’s secret area, Purple Cloud Mountain, until you have defeated the Scorpionlord and Daoist Mi first.

Failing to do this will result in missing out on both boss fights, the Stained Jade Gourd from the Scorpionlord, the Violet Hail Transformation from Daoist Mi, and an important Journal Entry.

Furthermore, when contending with the Venom Daoist, ensure you break all its extra arms, or you’ll miss acquiring the Venomous Armguard. If you don’t succeed on your first attempt, you’ll need to play through again in New Game +.

All Missables Chapter Five

In the final chapter of Black Myth: Wukong, players can miss out on a valuable Transformation known as Dark Thunder if they choose to defeat the Keeper of Flaming Mountains prior to speaking with the Horse Guai.

This friendly NPC, Ma Tianba, can be located throughout all five chapters of the game. Engaging with Horse Guai and completing his extensive side quests will ultimately lead you to acquire this Transformation in Chapter Five. Here’s where you can find Horse Guai in every chapter:

  • Inside a cave in Black Hills Keeper’s Shrine
  • Under a gazebo near the Earth Wolf Arena
  • Inside a building by the Temple Entrance Keeper’s Shrine
  • Within a cocoon on the path to the Cliff of Oblivion Keeper’s Shrine
  • Inside a card just past the Valley Entrance Keeper’s Shrine

You must exhaust all dialogues from Horse Guai to progress the quest.

Old Man’s Quest

Additionally, you’ll encounter the Old Man in Chapter 1, who reappears in all subsequent chapters. Be sure to find him, engage in conversation, and exhaust his dialogues before moving on in later chapters.

These are all the easily missed bosses, quests, and items in Black Myth: Wukong. For players who aspire to unlock every feature in the game, keep an eye on all achievements available.
