To activate Parental Controls on Roblox, parents should follow these steps:

  1. Add an email to the child’s Roblox account.
  2. Navigate to Settings -> Parental Controls.
  3. Establish a Parental PIN for the child’s account.
  4. Select an Age Rating in the Parental Controls section.
  5. Set Spending Limits and enable content restrictions for children younger than nine.

To establish a Parental PIN:

Step 2 – In the Settings, select Parental Controls. Activate the option for Parent PIN is enabled.

Having a Parental PIN allows you to enforce controls and secure the account. Without the PIN, your child is locked out from accessing it, thus limiting their gaming time, especially when left unsupervised with a computer.

During your first attempt at setting up a PIN, you’ll need to input and confirm a four-digit code. (Be sure to remember it). After completion, this PIN will be required to make any settings alterations.

To configure Allowed Experiences:

  1. Within the Parental Controls settings, scroll to Allowed Experiences and choose the appropriate age setting for your child.

For instance, if your child is 12 years old, selecting an age rating of 9+ might be more suitable than 13+, even if it is closer.
