YouTuber Ethan Klein has recently addressed allegations made by a former housekeeper who has filed a lawsuit claiming wrongful termination. The housekeeper asserts that she was dismissed just two days after requesting medical leave for a hernia surgery.
Ethan Klein, widely recognized for establishing H3H3 Productions—a collective focused on commentary regarding contemporary issues and online controversies—finds himself entangled in a legal dispute that is drawing public attention.
Klein has a history of being embroiled in significant lawsuits, including ones that have set important precedents regarding fair use. This time, however, the legal challenge stems from a former employee rather than an outside entity.
In February 2025, Klein’s ex-housekeeper initiated a lawsuit alleging wrongful termination. The plaintiff contends that she informed the Klein family about a required surgical procedure on July 18, 2024, only to find her employment abruptly terminated shortly thereafter.

The lawsuit details that the housekeeper communicated her need for time off to recover from hernia surgery, predicting a recovery period of about a month but indicating that she could return earlier if capable. Shortly after reporting issues with clocking in to work, she was informed of her termination due to what Klein’s staff described as a shift in direction for the household.
Klein Responds to the Allegations
In a series of statements shared via his Instagram stories, Ethan Klein vehemently denied the allegations, claiming the former housekeeper’s behavior towards his hired nanny was unacceptable. He described her conduct as “horrifically rude, ” accusing her of personal insults regarding the nanny’s appearance.

Klein asserted that the claims regarding the timing of the housekeeper’s termination were “100% fabricated, ” further alleging that she was attempting to extract a significant financial settlement from him.
During a live stream on February 10, 2025, Klein elaborated on his decision to terminate her employment, emphasizing that he “literally had no choice” given her behavior, which he claimed created a hostile work environment. He highlighted that despite the termination, he provided the housekeeper with a “generous severance package” out of concern for her well-being.

This incident marks yet another legal challenge for Klein, who previously faced multiple lawsuits from Triller regarding copyright issues related to a boxing match featuring Jake Paul in 2021.
