Despite the low value of the “Appraiser”Class, the anime is still scheduled to debut in January 2025. The official staff of the show confirmed this news on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, along with a teaser promotional video. Furthermore, the main cast for the series was also announced by the staff.

Kodansha has been publishing the light novels since October 2020, and three volumes have been released to date. A manga adaptation, featuring Morohoshi Fuji’s illustrations, has also been serialized on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website.

On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser”Class anime released a teaser promotional video announcing January 2025 as the estimated release window. As of this writing, the exact release date has not yet been revealed by the staff.

The most recent PV showcases the iconic panels from the original manga adaptation of the light novel, accompanied by ominous background music. The brief clip also introduces the main characters, such as Ein, Yuri, Ursula, and Yuri’s younger sister, while providing a sneak peek of their voices.

The anime’s official site and X handle have released information about the cast members. Playing the lead role of Ein is Kikunosuke Toya, who is recognized for his portrayal of Denji in Chainsaw Man. Joining the cast is Hikaru Tono, known for her performance as Anna Yanami in Too Many Losing Heroines!, as she voices the character of Yuri.

Along with Sayumi Suzushiro as Ursula, the voice cast for the Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser”Class anime includes Yu Serizawa as Yuri’s younger sister, Pina. Suzushiro is well-known for her roles as Kei Shirogane in the Kaguya-sama series, Kurena Kukumila in 86, Nijika Ijichi in Bocchi the Rock!, and other popular characters.

The anime’s official site has received comments from the voice actors, in which they share their initial thoughts on the characters they are portraying. The Seiyuus (voice actors) also expressed their enthusiasm for bringing these characters to life.

In addition to the release date and main cast, the anime’s official team also released character visuals for Ein, Yuri, Ursula, and Pina. These visuals showcase the characters in their signature outfits. Currently, there is no information available about the main staff at the time of writing.

The anime Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser”Class is adapted from Ibarakino’s light novel series and takes place in a fantasy world where individuals are assigned jobs from birth by a higher power. In this world, heroes are not born but rather created. Ein, a young boy with a strong sense of heroism, is unexpectedly given the role of an appraiser, a job far from the typical hero role.

Despite being abandoned and mistreated by all those around him, Ein never gave up on his dream of becoming a hero. That is, until the fateful day when he encounters Yuri, the Spirit of the World Tree, and Ursula, the Guardian and Sage. In this moment, Ein comes to the realization that his seemingly weak skill may in fact hold the key to achieving his ultimate goal.
