Despite the surprise of many fans, it is a fact that there are multiple anime arcs from different series that surpass the entire length of My Hero Academia anime. As avid anime viewers are aware, My Hero Academia has only recently begun its seventh season, and has already reached over 140 episodes.

Even though 140 episodes is a respectable amount for an anime, it may be considered on the shorter side for a Shonen series. This can be seen in the numerous series that have story arcs spanning approximately 140 episodes. There are even anime that exceed this number by a significant margin. Therefore, we will examine every anime arc that surpasses the length of My Hero Academia.

Which Anime Arcs are Longer than the Entire My Hero Academia Anime?

The Fourth Shinobi World War Arc from Naruto Shippuden

Even though the Fourth Shinobi World War Arc was based on the source material, it still included filler episodes. Without these fillers, the anime arc would have only been 119 episodes, which is similar in length to the entire runtime of My Hero Academia anime.

The Fourth Shinobi World War Arc played a crucial role in the overall story, as it chronicled the entire conflict from beginning to end. This encompassed Naruto’s journey to master Kurama’s chakra, the long-awaited reunion of Sasuke and Itachi, and the ultimate showdown against Madara and Obito Uchiha.

The One Piece anime arc, known as the Wano Country Arc, spanned from episode 890 to 1085, totaling 196 episodes including filler episodes.

Interestingly, while The Fourth Shinobi World War Arc was shorter than The Wano Country Arc, The Wano Country Arc still ended up being longer than the My Hero Academia anime, even without the inclusion of filler episodes. Throughout the arc, the anime only aired five filler episodes.

The Wano Country Arc further developed the collaboration between the Straw Hat Pirates and Heart Pirates, as they united with their leaders to create the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance and confront the Beasts Pirates. This arc also unveiled significant information about the world’s history and mythos, showcasing the remarkable growth of protagonist Monkey D. Luffy as he unleashed his formidable Gear 5 transformation.

The Bourbon and Akai Arc of Case Closed: Detective Conan spans a significantly greater length than the entirety of the My Hero Academia anime. This particular arc consists of a staggering 274 episodes, which is nearly twice the number of episodes in the entire My Hero Academia anime series.

The anime arc spanned from episode 509 to episode 783, encompassing a total of 274 episodes.

As avid followers of the anime are aware, the plot of Case Closed: Detective Conan often moves at a slow pace as each episode typically centers on the case presented in that particular episode. As a result, the story slowly unfolds with each new episode.

Despite the slow pace of events, it may cause one to question if the episodes are part of a unified story arc. Nevertheless, due to the significance of the plot, all 274 episodes are deemed to be part of the same anime arc.
