Every Disgusted Face in One Piece Episode 1108

The latest installment of the One Piece anime, Episode 1108, delves deeper into the ongoing Egghead Arc. Titled “Incomprehensible! The Seraphim’s Rebellion!”, this episode centers on the surprise attack launched by the Seraphim on the Vegapunk satellite bodies and the Straw Hat Pirates. As the rest of the group went in search of Dr. Vegapunk, Luffy and Zoro remained behind to protect Lucci and Kaku.

As S-Hawk and S-Bear launched a brutal assault, Zoro skillfully defended against the two Seraphim while also protecting Lucci and Kaku. Thanks to Stussy’s cunning ability, the two CP0 agents remained unconscious and were unable to defend themselves. Just then, Luffy appeared, and Lucci and Kaku finally woke up from their slumber.

Suddenly, the two agents requested Luffy and Zoro’s help in freeing them to join the battle against the Seraphim. From the comical expressions of disgust on their faces, it was clear that the Straw Hat crew’s leader and vice-captain were thoroughly repulsed by the idea. Interestingly, this was not the first instance of One Piece characters showing their discomfort through memorable and meme-worthy facial expressions.

1) Law, Kid, and Luffy

The unforgettable Wano Arc highlighted Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Trafalgar D. Law, Eustass Kid, and Killer as the most powerful rookie pirates who bravely opposed the Emperors. With unbreakable resolve, Luffy and his comrades confronted Kaido and Big Mom, resulting in an intense battle that left Onigashima in ruins.

In the initial phase of the fight, Big Mom unleashed her Devil Fruit abilities to launch a fierce attack on Kid, Law, and Luffy with her Heavenly Bonbon technique, which involved hurling fireballs at her opponents. Despite the danger, Luffy boldly proposed a challenge to Law and Kid, daring them to play a childish game where the loser would be the first to dodge the incoming attack.

Despite their initial hesitation, Kid and Law were unable to resist Luffy’s taunt. With comically disgusted expressions, the three of them exchanged glances, each waiting to see who would make the first move.

Despite their fear of losing the contest, all three of them bravely stood their ground and took the incoming blow. As a result, Zoro scolded them for their foolishness.

Whitebeard

Kozuki Oden, a formidable samurai from Wano, requested that Edward Newgate, also known as “Whitebeard”, join his crew in order to fulfill his desire to travel the world. The two formed a deep bond, akin to that of sworn brothers.

At a certain moment, Gol D. Roger requested Whitebeard to allow Oden to accompany him for a year, as the samurai possessed the rare ability to decipher Poneglyphs. This period saw the Roger Pirates successfully conclude their voyage in pursuit of the legendary One Piece treasure.

Whitebeard was thoroughly irritated by Roger’s request, as he didn’t want to part with someone who felt like family to him, even if it was only for a short time. He couldn’t hide his displeasure, visibly showing it on his face, especially since Oden had personally asked him to fulfill Roger’s demand.

Despite his displeasure, Whitebeard ultimately gave his permission for Oden to join the Roger Pirates.

Prior to becoming a member of the Whitebeard Pirates, Oden was required to endure a dangerous trial. Whitebeard tasked him with holding onto a chain attached to the ship for three days, as it was dragged across the treacherous waters of the New World. This forced Oden to face numerous perils without any protection.

Despite enduring everything, Oden suddenly let go of the chain with only 10 minutes left in the challenge. This was because he heard the screams of Toki, a woman who was being harassed by the Karma Pirates.

Following Toki’s rescue, Oden became acquainted with her. Whitebeard observed that Oden had released the chain solely out of his desire to aid Toki, and as a result, he welcomed the samurai onto his ship. He also extended an invitation for Toki to join them.

Despite Toki expressing her wish to visit Wano, both Whitebeard and Oden reacted with their typical disgusted expressions. Little did Oden know that Toki would eventually become the love of his life.

When Luffy, Nami, Brook, and Chopper set off for Whole Cake Island to rescue Sanji, the rest of the Straw Hats secretly entered Wano. In order to avoid detection, they assumed false identities and assimilated into the local community. Zoro took on the guise of a wandering samurai, Usopp posed as a trader, Robin became a geisha, and Franky worked as a builder.

As the events of the Wano Arc continue, Zoro and Luffy are eventually reunited. However, they soon become separated as Zoro gets lost and Luffy encounters Kaido. Filled with anger towards Kaido, Luffy impulsively attacks him. This turns out to be a grave mistake as Kaido easily overpowers and defeats him.

After being struck by a single blow from the Emperor, Luffy was rendered unconscious and subsequently imprisoned in Udon. Zoro, Usopp, Franky, and Nico Robin were all shocked and surprised when they discovered the news in the local newspaper, as they had been trying to maintain a low profile. Luffy’s actions had put their cover at risk.

It is inevitable to hold back laughter at the expressions of Zoro and the rest of the crew, who were appalled and astounded by Luffy’s rash actions. In the SBS for volume 93, Eiichiro Oda, the author of One Piece, also unveiled the disgusted visages of Nami, Sanji, Chopper, and Brook.
