Every One Piece character silhouette whose face is yet to be revealed

One of the notable aspects of the One Piece series is the use of blackened silhouettes to conceal the appearance of newly introduced characters. This technique is employed to build excitement and anticipation for the character, generating curiosity and interest among fans. A perfect example of this is the brilliant introduction of Big Mom as a shadowy silhouette.

Conversely, this can be frustrating since fans are excited to discover the appearance of new characters. The prolonged anticipation heightens the intrigue yet may also amplify the disappointment if the outcome does not meet their expectations. Fans particularly resent when One Piece author Eiichiro Oda utilizes silhouettes for supporting characters who have insignificant roles, as concealing their identities appears futile.

Despite concealing their full appearances until the appropriate moment in the story, Oda still loves to tease and mislead his readers with red herrings when introducing new characters in One Piece. As a result, some major characters have only been revealed as silhouettes. Keep reading to discover more about these enigmatic characters.

Please be advised that the following article includes significant spoilers from chapter 1112 of the One Piece manga.

1) The Defenders of Faith

The Holy Knights, also referred to as God’s Knights, are a group of nine top-ranking officials in the World Government. Their duties include carrying out retaliatory missions in rebellious nations and resolving conflicts among the Celestial Dragons. Saint Figarland Garling, a merciless leader, holds the position of Supreme Commander over this elite group.

Currently, the identities of the Holy Knights remain unknown as the manga has only portrayed them as obscured silhouettes, hiding their true appearances. The sole member of the group who has been fully introduced is Figarland Garling.

38 years prior to the current events in the One Piece storyline, Saint Garling was accompanied by two other Holy Knights during the God Valley Incident. It is uncertain whether these two individuals are still members of the group at present.

2) The Mightiest Warrior: Imu-sama

Imu, a mysterious figure who remains hidden, is the true ruler of the World Government, surpassing even the Five Elders in authority. Little is known about this tyrannical dictator who resides on Mary Geoise’s Empty Throne, a seat that was meant to remain vacant.

Imu-sama issues direct orders to the Five Elders, who carry them out on their behalf. They have the power to manipulate events and even alter history. It is important to mention that Imu and the Elders hold absolute authority over Mother Flame, a devastating weapon capable of obliterating an entire island in mere seconds, effectively wiping it off the map.

Despite speculation, the true identity of this character remains unknown. However, there are rumors that Imu is actually Saint Imu of the Nerona Family, a Celestial Dragon who is believed to have attained immortality centuries ago. Until confirmed, these rumors remain unverified.

Up until this point, Imu has only been known as a foreboding figure adorned with a spiked crown and sporting almond-shaped eyes with red irises, flanked by two black spirals. Similar to how the Five Elders have the ability to morph into Yokai-like creatures, Imu also has the power to metamorphose into a savage beast with razor-sharp teeth.

Despite the recent One Piece characters fully displaying the altered appearances of the Five Elders, Imu’s remains a darkened silhouette, similar to the character’s usual appearance. However, it should be mentioned that Imu’s red-ringed eyes, typically adorned with two spirals around the pupils, gained a third spiral upon transformation.

After undergoing a transformation, Imu gains the ability to produce and manipulate sharp, shadowy arrows. Surprisingly, even Sabo, who possesses the abilities of a Logia-type Devil Fruit, was severely wounded by these arrows.

Eight centuries prior to the current events depicted in One Piece, Nefertari Lily held the position of queen in the kingdom of Arabasta. Despite being one of the original twenty rulers who established the Ancient Alliance, Lily was the only one who chose not to relocate to Mary Geoise and assume the status of a Celestial Dragon.

Despite Lily’s rejection, the World Government continues to view the Nefertari family as traitors, even in present times. It is worth noting that Lily’s complete name was Nefertari D. Lily, making her one of the few individuals in history to possess the D. in their names.

As soon as the World Government was officially established, Lily vanished without a trace. Imu-sama stated that Lily’s actions led to the dispersal of the Poneglyphs throughout the world. According to Nefertari Cobra, Lily’s successor, the enigmatic queen left behind a letter containing crucial information to be passed down to future generations.

Ochoku, who was also referred to as Wang Zhi, was a well-known individual within the notorious Rocks Pirates. Following the dissolution of the group, Ochoku ventured out on his own and eventually became the leader of Hachinosu, commonly known as the “Pirate Island.”

After the Rocky Port Incident during the timeskip, Trafalgar Law orchestrated the downfall of Marshall D. Teach “Blackbeard” and his rule over Hachonosu. With the help of Marine Officer Koby, Blackbeard was overpowered and replaced by Ochoku as the island’s new ruler.

Considered to be one of the most enigmatic figures in the One Piece series, Xebec, alongside the enigmatic Imu, is shrouded in secrecy. He was a man who bore the Will of D. and purportedly sought to dominate the entire world. Xebec was also the founder and captain of the infamous Rocks Pirates, widely regarded as the most powerful crew in history.

This notorious band of pirates was led by Xebec and consisted of feared individuals such as Whitebeard, Kaido, and Big Mom, who would later become Emperors. Other notable members included Shiki, Ochoku, and others. This serves as a clear testament to Xebec’s formidable strength as a leader.

Despite already being a formidable opponent, Xebec was further acknowledged as the strongest foe Gol D. Roger had ever faced. Defeating Xebec and ultimately toppling his reign required Roger to join forces with Monkey D. Garp.

To this day, the full extent of Xebec’s abilities and his complete physical appearance remain a mystery. Following his defeat by Garp and Roger, the World Government went to great lengths to erase any record of Xebec’s existence from history.
