Payday 3 boasts a diverse cast of characters to accompany you on your heists. However, is the current number of playable heisters the final count, or can we expect more to be added in upcoming updates?
The Payday franchise boasts a diverse roster of entertaining characters. Throughout both games, more than 20 unique playable characters have been showcased, representing a wide range of nationalities, genders, and personalities.
The new installment of Payday, Payday 3, has shifted back to a more realistic theme instead of the more comical approach it adopted in the later stages of its predecessor’s run. As a result, not all of the heisters from Payday 2 can be found in the new game.
These are all the heisters that are featured as playable characters in Payday 3.
All Payday 3 Heisters
At the moment, there are six heisters that players can choose to play as in Payday 3. Additionally, the upcoming Boys in Blue update will introduce another heister to the game.

- Pearl
- Clover (coming with the Boys In Blue update)
Additionally, as stated in the Payday 3 FAQ, Simon Kerr, Pete Gold, Damion Poitier, and Siu-See Hung have returned to their roles as Dallas, Hoxton, Chains, and Joy respectively. The character of Wolf is now voiced by Nicklas Berglund, taking over from Ulf Andersson.
On the contrary, Pearl is a newly introduced character for Payday 3. She is portrayed in the game as a skilled “con artist and infiltrator”. Rebecca LaChance lends her voice to the character, having previously voiced characters in Horizon Forbidden West and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
What new heisters could be coming in the future?
On June 27th, 2024, fans can look forward to seeing Aoife Duffin return as Clover in the highly anticipated Boys In Blue DLC for Payday 2. However, players will be excited to know that she will also be included as a free character, along with her signature weapon, for all players to enjoy.
Additional characters may potentially be introduced in the future. When Payday 2 was initially released, it featured only four heisters. However, as more downloadable content and updates were released, an additional 18 heisters were added. The Dragan Files, which first hinted at the introduction of Clover, suggests that there may be space for at least two more hidden heisters in upcoming content updates.
