The Egghead Arc has solidified the Five Elders as the ultimate antagonists in the One Piece series. As the most powerful governing figures in the world, second only to the enigmatic Imu-sama, the Elders possess incredible combat skills and have the ability to transform into monstrous Yokai creatures. Their mastery of Haki further adds to their formidable strength.
Despite the Straw Hat Pirates’ efforts to escape from the island, the Five Elders stormed Egghead in the recent One Piece chapters to eliminate Dr Vegapunk and stop him from broadcasting his message to the world. However, their plans were seemingly thwarted as Admiral Kizaru and Saint Saturn appeared to have successfully killed Vegapunk.
The Five Elders’ involvement in the current arc has generated curiosity and anticipation among fans, particularly regarding the potential future confrontations between these figures and the Straw Hat Pirates.

Ranking the most epic fights between the Straw Hats and the Five Elders in One Piece
1) Zoro and Nusjuro’s Epic Battle
Both Zoro and Nusjuro are highly skilled swordsmen who play significant roles within their respective groups. Zoro ranks second in strength among the Straw Hat crew, while Nusjuro is depicted as one of the most powerful, if not the strongest, among the Five Elders.
Zoro’s recent victory over the formidable Rob Lucci has solidified his strength, but facing Saint V. Nusjuro will be a true test. According to fan theories, Nusjuro is an invincible fighter who once clashed with the legendary hero “Sword God”Ryuma, who was believed to be on par with Joy Boy.
In the same chapter where Zoro defeated Lucci, the manga provided a first glimpse of Nusjuro’s formidable abilities. It appeared that the author Eiichiro Oda was intentionally hinting at a potential connection between Zoro and Nusjuro.
Ever since the Five Elders were introduced in the story, fans have been speculating about a potential clash between these two skilled swordsmen. It is widely believed that the highly anticipated showdown between Zoro and Saint Nusjuro is bound to happen.
2) Monkey D. Luffy vs. Saturn
After discovering that Kizaru and Lucci were unable to defeat Luffy and Zoro, Saturn intervened directly. He transformed into the monstrous Gyuki and utilized its spider-like legs to impale Vegapunk. Fortunately, Luffy intervened and prevented Saturn from completing his attack on Vegapunk.

Luffy’s anger towards Saturn stems from the latter’s fatal injury of Vegapunk, a close friend of his. Similarly, Saturn’s goal is to silence Luffy, as he sees him as Nika, the most dangerous adversary to the World Government.
With this in mind, it is evident that a final battle between Luffy and Saturn is inevitable. The only uncertainty is whether it will occur on Egghead or during the highly-anticipated ultimate war.
3) Luffy’s Epic Battle Against Warcury
Upon their arrival on Egghead, Saint Warcury joined the other Elders in unleashing a powerful Haki blast, showcasing his rare ability to use the Color of Conqueror. The force of Warcury’s Haki even affected Luffy, causing him to be pushed back.
Despite the efforts of Dorry and Brogy to aid him, Luffy is attempting to escape the chaos of the battlefield. However, Warcury remains steadfast in his determination to prevent their retreat. Luffy has consistently engaged in fierce battles with those who possess the ability to use Conqueror’s Haki, such as Chinjao, Doflamingo, Katakuri, and Kaido.
Therefore, it is inevitable that Luffy and Warcury will eventually clash in a battle of Conqueror’s Haki. However, this confrontation may be delayed until the final war, as the main objective of the Straw Hat crew at present is not to defeat the Elders, but to flee from Egghead’s grasp.
4) Sanji vs Ju Peter: A Clash of Culinary Skills
Despite Egghead being easily subdued by Saturn, it became evident that Sanji was no match for any of the Five Elders during the ongoing arc. However, it is possible that in the final war at the end of the series, things may shift and Sanji’s abilities could change.
On that particular encounter, Sanji could potentially face his destined rival, Ju Peter. Through following Zeff’s guidance, Sanji has cultivated a deep admiration for food, to the extent that it can be said that food symbolizes life itself for him. This creates a paradoxical and yet balanced contrast between his beliefs and those of Ju Peter.
Both value food, but while Sanji won’t allow any to go to waste and would provide nourishment for anyone in need, even foes, Ju Peter is a callous individual who shows no concern for the starvation of countless individuals.
Ju Peter holds the title of the World Government’s Warrior God of Agriculture, highlighting the significant role of food in his character, much like Sanji. Their contrasting beliefs and strikingly similar gentlemanly appearances could potentially lead to an intense battle in the ultimate arc of One Piece.
5) Jinbe vs Warcury: A Battle of Power and Strategy
Despite their mutual disdain, Jinbe and the Five Elders hold strong negative feelings towards each other. Jinbe’s contempt for the World Government stems from their allowance of Celestial Dragons to enslave Fish-Men and other creatures. On the other hand, the Elders resent Jinbe for renouncing his position as a Warlord.
Despite the World Government’s ongoing discrimination against the Fish-Men and their suffering, a potential clash between Warcury, the government’s Warrior God of Justice, and Jinbe, a Fish-Man fighting for true justice, may arise.
Warcury and Jinbe are both physical fighters with a sturdy and muscular physique. It would be fascinating to witness the clash of Warcury’s tusks against Jinbe’s tough shark skin. However, it appears that Warcury’s strength may make it difficult for Jinbe to have a realistic chance of winning.
Despite the fight potentially occurring at the conclusion of the series, Jinbe’s combat abilities are unlikely to improve significantly. As a seasoned fighter, he has already reached or come close to reaching his maximum potential.
6) Sanji’s Battle Against Saturn
During the Egghead Arc, there was a confrontation between Sanji and Saturn. Sanji’s intention was to protect Jewelry Bonney, but he was quickly overwhelmed by the Elder’s powerful attack, which sent him flying back.
Despite exerting a powerful aura, Saturn was able to easily overpower Sanji, Bonney, Franky, and Vegapunk, leaving them incapacitated. Fortunately, the timely arrival of Bartholomew Kuma prevented things from escalating.
Sanji has every right to be furious with Saturn for almost causing Bonney’s death. As is widely known, Sanji cannot tolerate those who harm women. To make matters worse, Saturn dealt a severe injury to Vegapunk, someone whom Sanji had vowed to defend.
If Saturn manages to survive the current events, it is possible that Sanji will seek revenge on him in the future, holding the Elder accountable for his actions during the Egghead Arc towards Sanji and the others.
7) Zoro vs Killer
Ever since Sanji first demonstrated his ability to use Sky Walk, a technique that allows him to jump higher by kicking the air itself and move in mid-air, fans have been eagerly anticipating the possibility of seeing him engage in an aerial battle.
Despite his best efforts, Sanji was unable to defeat Doflamingo in their previous battle. However, he may have the chance to redeem himself during the final war by defeating a formidable flying opponent.
Sanji’s ultimate adversary would be Saint Marcus Mars, who possesses the ability to morph into a colossal bird-like creature known as the Itsumade. Emerging victorious in an aerial showdown against Mars would be the perfect culmination of Sanji’s character.
8) Franky and Usopp vs the Powerful Saturn
Despite being a scientist himself, Saturn, the World Government’s Warrior God of Science and Defense, uses his expertise for nefarious purposes. In contrast, Franky and Usopp are eccentric inventors with kind intentions.
It would be incredible to witness these two Straw Hats working together to take on Saturn. Despite being overpowered, they could utilize their ingenuity to stay in the fight. Franky would utilize his laser beams, futuristic weaponry, and cyborg enhancements, while Usopp would rely on his botanical arsenal and resourcefulness.
If this battle were to occur, it would not be in Egghead, but rather during the final war. As a result, Usopp would reap the benefits of the upgrades he is expected to receive on Elbaf, while Franky may possess additional cyborg abilities.
Nevertheless, it is unlikely that these two will be able to defeat one of the Elders, making it highly improbable that this intriguing battle will ever take place.
9) The Battle of Robin and Ju Peter
Nico Robin’s intolerance for mistreatment extends to both her loved ones and the world’s history, as shown through her furious confrontations with Yama in Skypiea and Black Maria in Wano.
As a child, Robin witnessed the Five Elders ordering a Buster Call to obliterate her birthplace and home, Ohara. This was done in an effort to silence the Ohara scholars and prevent them from revealing the secrets of the Void Century and the real history of the world.
Saint Ju Peter is the individual responsible for instructing the Cipher Pol unit on Ohara to kill Clover, one of Robin’s closest companions. If Robin were to discover this, she would most likely seek to retaliate against Ju Peter in order to seek justice for Clover.
Despite the desire to witness Robin seeking vengeance against Ju Peter, it is improbable that it will come to pass. Robin is unlikely to gain enough strength to defeat one of the Five Elders on her own.
10) The Epic Battle between Nami and Nusjuro
Being the World Government’s Warrior God of Finance, Saint V. Nusjuro is expected to have a keen interest in gold. It would make him a perfect match for Nami, who has a deep love for gold and even goes as far as bathing in it.
Despite Nusjuro being portrayed as a cruel and malevolent antagonist, Nami does not possess the same level of greediness. Rather, her pursuit of wealth is rooted in her past experiences. Given these circumstances, a potential confrontation between Nami and Nusjuro would make for an intriguing confrontation.
Despite Nami’s determination, she is no match for Nusjuro’s overwhelming strength. The gap between their powers is as vast as the contrast between day and night. In the world of One Piece, this battle would hold no significance.
