Since its inception in 2015, the Festival of the Lost has emerged as a beloved Halloween tradition within Bungie’s looter-shooter universe, embracing the eerie spirit of the season. Each year, players eagerly anticipate this festive event, which presents an opportunity to collect exclusive loot, unique cosmetics, and various other rewards.
This year, the event returns, once again offering a variety of collectible weaponry, armor sets, and enticing rewards.
Event Dates
The Festival of the Lost 2024 kicked off on October 29, 2024, and will continue for three weeks, wrapping up on November 19, 2024.
New and Returning Weapons
This year’s event introduces an exciting new weapon: the Arcane Embrace, noted for being the first Heavy Burst frame shotgun of its kind. This formidable weapon delivers a significant two-round burst, ensuring that you can unleash powerful fire while maintaining control.
Additionally, returning fan-favorites from past festivals include the Acosmic, Jurassic Green, Mechabre, and Horror Story, which have all received newly revamped perk options.

New Armor Sets
During Festival of the Lost, players will discover three new armor sets, crafted specifically for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks. Each set draws inspiration from wizardry and can be earned through participating in event activities. Premium sets are additionally purchasable through the Eververse Store for 1,500 Silver per class.
Concept artwork showcasing these sets was unveiled during the Revenant Act 1 reveal stream, with the final designs showcased upon the event’s commencement. Below are the three armor sets that can be acquired during the festivities:
The armor designs were voted on by the community in January 2024, resulting in the choice of an Evil Wizard aesthetic for the Hunter and Warlock, contrasted with a Good Wizard design for the Titan. Consequently, the Hunters and Warlocks’ armor embraces themes of witchcraft and dark magic, while the Titan’s armor embodies classic wizardry and heroism.

The Festival of the Lost 2024 introduces seven new masks for players, perfect for enhancing your Halloween-themed gameplay while collecting candy and loot. Although eight masks were initially announced, the Witness mask was removed from the final lineup.

Activities of Festival of the Lost 2024
This year’s highlight is the reintroduction of Haunted Sectors, which are revisited versions of existing Lost Sectors featuring a range of Halloween-themed foes, including the infamous Headless One boss.
By playing through these Haunted Sectors, players can collect Eerie Engrams, which are used to acquire event weapons and Exotic Class Items—this method is the optimal way to chase the coveted rolls you desire during Festival of the Lost 2024.
