The Ultimate Shape Evolution

After the conclusion of “Lightfall”, The Final Shape storyline delves into the decade-long conflict between the Darkness and the Light. The Witness, representing The Darkness and serving as the primary adversary of The Final Shape, aims to bring about the end of the universe, believing it to be the catalyst for ultimate evolution.

Guardians, known for their mastery of the light, have a mission to defend the universe and shield humanity from The Darkness, as well as thwart any schemes devised by The Witness.

The Evolution of Supers in The Final Shape

In addition to the three previously announced Supers, Bungie also gave a glimpse of a new subclass, Prismatic, that will be introduced in The Final Shape.

Before we proceed, let’s examine these new Supers:

Titan (Void) – Shadow Arsenal

The Titans can use this powerful ability to throw three Void axes, which pull in enemies and explode upon impact, causing significant damage and applying negative effects to any remaining foes. The axes can be retrieved and used by the Titan or their fireteam.

Hunter (Arc) – Lightning Strikes

Hunters have the ability to throw an Arc dagger, which will teleport them forward, allowing them to unleash a devastating whirlwind strike upon arrival and deal significant damage to their enemies. This maneuver can be performed three times per Super charge, enabling Hunters to swiftly travel long distances and cause chaos among the armies of Darkness.

Warlock (Solar) – Fueled by Fire

The Warlock Super grants the ability to harness radiant power, overcharging their melee attack and transforming their grenade into a Spirit of Flame that can independently seek out and explode on enemies. This Super also boosts ability regeneration and damage resistance for fireteam members, as well as enhancing the power of Solar and Kinetic weapons with Scorch.

Accompanying these Supers will also be new Aspects.

Titan (Void) – Indestructible

Titans have the ability to consume their grenade, creating a protective shield that not only absorbs but also deflects incoming damage. This shield can then be unleashed to deal significant damage.

Hunter (Arc) – Ascension and Abilities

Warlock (Solar) – Inferno

This feature enables Warlocks to trigger their class ability and conjure a Solar Soul that launches fiery mortars towards far-off foes, igniting them in flames.

Introducing the “Prismatic” Subclass in The Final Shape

According to Bungie, Prismatic is a subclass that enables Guardians to simultaneously harness the powers of Light and Darkness. This presents limitless potential, unlocking a wide range of options for creating builds and combining abilities.

Your available abilities will cover all damage elements (Solar, Arc, Void, Strand, Stasis) through your super, melee, grenade, and Aspect slots. You will also have a selection of movement modes and class abilities, including subclass-specific ones like Phoenix Dive, Acrobat’s Dodge, and Thruster. Furthermore, these options will allow for a total of 327 characters and a current count of 573, with the option to add more through injection.

Inner Peace

The Final Shape will introduce a new feature called Transcendence, which will allow you to gather both Light and Dark energy. This will give you the ability to control elemental combinations specific to your class, whether you are a Hunter, Warlock, or Titan.

Ultimately, Transcendence will serve as a secondary Super, allowing you to replenish your ability energy and gain access to more powerful abilities. Additionally, a Transcendence Meter will be present, containing two separate bars for Light and Darkness.

Once both sides reach maximum capacity, the bars will fill and trigger a state of heightened power known as Transcendence.

Exotic Class Items Make a Comeback in The Final Form

Surprisingly, Bungie has announced that Exotic class items will make a comeback in Destiny 2 with the release of The Final Shape. This time around, they will have significantly increased utility.

Exotic class items will still have a random roll of existing Exotic armor abilities. In line with the Prismatic subclass’s concept of merging abilities from various elements, these items will also have the ability to draw from different classes altogether.

Per Bungie, the intention was to create a sense of brokenness.

Final Destination Revealed

With its new “linear”destination, The Pale Heart, The Final Shape has a major focus. This destination, located within the Traveler, sets itself apart from other existing destinations in Destiny 2 by constantly evolving. While players will encounter new locations in The Pale Heart, Bungie has also announced that old locations will make a return, but with a unique twist.

Exploring The Final Shape Raid: What to Expect

Bungie typically prefers to maintain a high level of secrecy around their yet-to-be-released Raids, which is understandable given that it is the activity that players are most excited for.

There is speculation that in the upcoming raid, players will confront The Witness in a final battle. Although Bungie has not yet confirmed this, we will continue to update this guide as more information becomes available.

That concludes our discussion on The Final Shape in Destiny 2, covering all the information currently available.

With the launch date of June 4 quickly approaching, Bungie will likely continue to provide us with more information and insight into what we can expect. In the meantime, let’s stay patient and enjoy the journey, Guardians.
