The game’s Vessel of Hatred expansion will transport players to the Torajan Jungles, also known as Nahantu, a completely new region. This area may be recognizable to veteran Diablo fans as it was previously featured in Diablo 2 Act 3.

The upcoming DLC for Diablo 4 will extend the current map to the southwest, allowing players to explore the previously inaccessible territory. This area, located to the south of Kehjistan within the Diablo storyline in Sanctuary, is known to be a wild jungle region.

Vessel of Hatred Storyline Takes Place After Diablo 4 Campaign

The DLC storyline is a continuation of Diablo 4. In the main campaign, we witness Neyrelle capturing Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred, in a soulstone. She then leaves the Sanctuary in order to safeguard it from the soulstone’s corruption and, if possible, ultimately destroy it.

The initial scenes of the Vessel of Hatred’s newest trailer depict Neyrelle on a canoe engaged in a struggle against the formidable forces of the soul stone. Dark goo continuously seeps from the stone, indicating its inability to contain Mephisto for much longer. This highlights Neyrelle’s mental and spiritual battle against the powerful evil.

Eventually, Mephisto attempts to deceive Neyrelle, but she stands her ground and ultimately makes her way to the forests of Nahantu, the setting of Vessel of Hatred’s entire plot.

As a result, it can be inferred that the DLC’s storyline will revolve around Neyrelle’s internal struggle with her mind and faith, as Mephisto attempts to escape from the soul stone and ultimately becomes the final boss of the DLC.

Neyrelle also references the tomb of Akarat, situated in Nahantu, in the trailer. The reason for her search for this tomb remains unconfirmed. It is likely that the tomb houses an object capable of destroying the soul stone, potentially bringing an end to Mephisto.

The official page states that further information regarding this class will be disclosed on July 18th. Currently, no information is available regarding the capabilities of this fresh class.
