Minecraft Live 2024 is approaching, and before its release, Mojang has inadvertently leaked exciting information about a new biome and a new hostile mob, referred to as The Creaking.
With the announcement that a mob vote would not take place this year, many fans expressed concerns about the format of Minecraft Live. The removal of a significant interactive segment that engages the community could result in a stream filled with less content.
However, Mojang’s accidental leak of crucial information has alleviated those worries, indicating that the event will likely showcase a variety of new biomes, experiences, and the enigmatic new mob known as The Creaking. Here’s everything we currently know about these leaks, including its potential habitat and appearance.
Leaks
On September 25, Mojang made updates to its website that offered a sneak peek at upcoming announcements for Minecraft Live. Although the page was taken down swiftly, savvy fans managed to capture images and preserve them in the site’s archives.
The leaked information indicated a “first look at the Pale Garden and its hostile mob – The Creaking,” suggesting that players can expect a brand new enemy to confront in the upcoming update. Additionally, it is confirmed that this mob will inhabit the new biome.

Although these are just leaks, the fact that they originated from Mojang lends credibility to the forthcoming announcement.
What Will It Look Like?
Of course, with minimal information available, the appearance, movements, and characteristics of The Creaking are purely speculative. However, Mojang has hinted at some design aspects, especially following the leak.
On their X account, they unveiled planning images with the cryptic notes “Hostile??” and “Don’t Look” included. Furthermore, new blocks appear to be introduced, with white wood materials that do not resemble anything currently in the game, aligning with the Pale Garden theme.

Many fans speculate that The Creaking may be akin to a wooden golem fashioned from the wood of the Pale Garden: “Creaking sounds like some type of ancient wooden golem that guards the garden.” Given that wood creaks, the golem theory holds some weight, although such creatures typically become hostile only if provoked.
To aid fans in visualizing its appearance, a TikTok video was posted, featuring a creature resembling an Enderman, coupled with the caption “Don’t look away… or else.” This intriguing detail contrasts sharply with the “Don’t look” phrase from the X post.

If the Pale Garden turns out to be the much-anticipated End Biome that players have been waiting for, it would indeed be fitting for a new type of Enderman to emerge. Perhaps this new Enderman could require players to maintain eye contact, or it will attack, giving it a contrasting behavior to pre-existing mobs.
Ultimately, only time will tell. As soon as more information about this intriguing mob is unveiled, we’ll update this article, so make sure to check back for the latest updates.
