Treyarch has announced an exciting addition to Black Ops 6, following the launch of Citadelle des Morts in Season 1 Reloaded. A new Zombies map is on the horizon, and anticipation is building among players.
Upon its release, Black Ops 6 came with two playable Zombies maps: the expansive Terminus and the more confined Liberty Falls. The development team reassured fans that additional maps would be introduced after the initial launch, starting with Citadelle des Morts, which debuted in December as part of the Season 1 Reloaded update.
As excitement mounts, let’s delve into what we know about the next Zombies map in Black Ops 6.
Expected Release Date for the New Map
While an exact launch date has yet to be shared, Treyarch has revealed that they will unveil the upcoming map during the annual ‘115 Day’ celebration on January 15. This event promises the first official insights into the new map along with updates regarding its release.

Additionally, Call of Duty informant ‘TheGhostOfHope’ has speculated that the new Zombies map might launch alongside Season 2, which is scheduled for January 28. However, it is also possible that this unveil could coincide with Season 2 Reloaded, anticipated for late February or early March. This projected timeline implies a swift introduction of content, particularly in light of the recent release of Citadelle des Morts.

Map Size Expectations
As of now, specifics regarding the size of the upcoming Zombies map remain under wraps. However, based on previous releases, it is likely to be relatively compact, potentially more akin to Liberty Falls than the larger Terminus.
This assumption stems from the expansive nature of Citadelle des Morts, which featured vast areas for players to explore, including an outdoor section, elaborate castle landscapes, and intricate underground passages. Given this recent immersion in larger environments, it seems reasonable for the next map to offer a refreshing change in pace and scale.
At this stage, all expectations remain speculative, and players should await official confirmation from Treyarch for the most accurate information.
