What is Valorant Mobile?
As part of their broader plans to “expand the [Valorant] franchise,”Riot Games announced in 2021 their intention to make the popular shooter more accessible to players worldwide.
In 2024, Valorant expanded beyond PC with the full release of the console port, including crossplay between different systems.
Anna Donlon, Valorant’s Executive Producer, stated: “One of our top goals this first year [2020-21] was to earn the trust and respect of the global FPS community and to demonstrate that Valorant will uphold the essentials of a truly competitive tactical shooter. We are elated to soon offer the same competitive experience to even more global players.”

Is there a Valorant Mobile release date?
As of now, Riot has yet to announce a definitive release date for Valorant Mobile. Bringing such a significant title to mobile is a bold endeavor, so the exact timeline for fans remains uncertain.
Recently, a beta version launched in China, giving players insights into the mobile port, suggesting that a release might be closer than anticipated.
Is there a Valorant mobile beta?
Yes, there is currently a beta for Valorant Mobile.
On April 7, 2022, notable Valorant leaker DannyINTEL revealed that testing for Valorant Mobile had officially begun in China. The shared images featured various loading screens and an in-game screenshot showcasing the mobile UI.
During these playtests, players can select various Agents, including Jett, Phoenix, Reyna, Breach, Skye, Sova, and Killjoy; however, it’s uncertain if additional Agents are available.

Further leaks revealed additional aspects of the mobile UI. The Valorant port includes a full Buy Menu similar to the desktop version and introduces a ‘Quick Buy Menu’ optimized for handheld devices.
This system offers three quick purchase options between rounds, with prices between 2,600 to 3,300 Credits for preset packs that contain weapons, armor, and abilities.
Leaks in September 2022 included a listing on the Google Play Store for the first time, clarifying that Valorant Mobile is currently available to a limited number of players, all under NDAs.
On July 10, 2023, a leaker claimed that Tencent had halted Valorant Mobile’s development, and Riot Games has since assumed control of its creation. The title is reportedly being rebuilt from the ground up at their LA studios alongside the console team.

On June 5, 2023, it was reported that Valorant mobile had been approved in China under the title Valorant: Operation Primal.
Valorant mobile gameplay leaks
In early September 2024, footage from the beta version in China leaked, giving us a closer look at the gameplay.
In a full gameplay recording shared by leaker sleepysoul, the game retains the essence of regular Valorant while adjusting its UI for mobile devices.
Reportedly, the game operates at 120 FPS on iPads and Android devices, matching the performance of PC and console versions.
Additionally, the beta showcases several skin bundles available in the in-game shop, featuring many familiar skins from the PC edition.
The beta includes a replay viewing system allowing players to revisit past matches with comprehensive stats and KDA, a feature highly coveted by the PC community set to be available on mobile as well.
