As the controversies surrounding HYBE and Min Hee Jin remain unresolved, netizens are also discussing allegations that Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, also known as “BTS’ father,”has been neglecting NewJeans.
The company received an email from NewJeans’ parents stating that Bang Si Hyuk has repeatedly ignored and failed to respond to NewJeans’ greetings when they came across him. This has been deemed as discriminatory behavior, causing a commotion among netizens.
Amidst the controversy, HYBE clarified that the reason behind Chairman Bang Si Hyuk’s actions was due to his face blindness. Nonetheless, netizens have uncovered proof within HYBE indicating that Bang’s behavior towards NewJeans was intentional.
At HYBE, the elevators designated for use by employees differ from those used by artists. This arrangement ensures that artists utilize a separate elevator and do not interact with other HYBE employees.
A HYBE employee was asked if they often encounter artists, to which they responded: “They are comparable to unicorns at HYBE. You are aware that they exist within the company, but sightings of them are rare.”
Despite the claim of face blindness, netizens remain angered as they argue that Bang Si Hyuk should still be able to recognize his company artists who greet him.
