In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, Game Freak defies the saying that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks by introducing a new evolution for Mankey and Primeape, transforming them into the powerful Annihilape.
As a result of its immense popularity, Niantic announced the addition of Annihilape to Pokemon Go during the Raging Battles event in January 2024, allowing Mankey and Primeape to evolve into this powerful new form.

Evolution of Primeape into Annihilape in Pokemon Go
There are a couple of steps to follow in order to evolve your Mankey in Pokemon Go. Fortunately, the first one is quite straightforward, but obtaining an Annihilape will require more effort.
- To initiate the evolution of Mankey into Primeape in Pokemon Go, all that is required is 50 Candy for Mankey to reach its next stage.
- To turn Primeape into Annihilape, players first need 100 Mankey Candy.
- Next, select Primeape as your buddy.
- To trigger the Annihilape evolution, battle and defeat 30 Ghost-type or Psychic-type Pokemon.
Remember, it is not necessary for Primeape to be the one to defeat the Pokemon, as long as it is your buddy at the time.
To effectively defeat Ghost-type and Psychic-type Pokemon, a viable strategy could involve locating them in Pokemon Gyms and engaging in multiple battles, or participating in the Pokemon Go Battle League.
