Ex-boxing champ explains why Mike Tyson will KO Jake Paul amid new rules

According to a former world champion, Jake Paul’s decision to accept a professionally sanctioned boxing match against Mike Tyson was a serious error.

The anticipated comeback of Mike Tyson to the boxing ring is set for July 20, and after much discussion, it has been officially announced that his fight against Jake Paul will be a professional match.

The rules for the fight were disclosed to include eight 2-minute rounds, no headgear, and knockouts would be allowed.

Despite the belief that this may give an advantage to the young newcomer, Jake Paul, former world champion and boxing analyst Timothy Bradley argues that Mike Tyson will actually reap significant benefits from the fight being officially recognized as a professional match.

According to the former champion, Marca, Mike Tyson has the potential to knock his opponent out and win the match. He believes that the two-minute round will benefit Tyson, allowing him to attack with body shots and powerful punches.

His ability to knock this man out is undeniable. Power is something that stays with you until the end. It only takes two minutes to knock Disney boy out cold.

Despite being known as ‘Iron Mike’, videos of Tyson’s training have gone viral, proving that he still possesses a significant amount of power in his punches. However, in preparation for the match, Tyson has had to abstain from using marijuana as it is included on the list of banned substances by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

If Mike Tyson were to knock out Jake Paul, it would mark the first time in his career that he has been knocked down. Jake Paul, also known as ‘The Problem Child’, currently holds a record of 9-1 with six of his wins coming by way of knockout. His only loss was a split-decision defeat to Tommy Fury in 2023.

The upcoming match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will mark the first live boxing event to be streamed on Netflix. The fight is set to occur at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
