After leaving the group MOMOLAND, Daisy has recently opened up about her dating scandal with iKON’s Song Yunhyeong in 2019. The video quickly gained attention and sparked criticism towards MLD Entertainment for allegedly misleading fans with their previous announcement about the couple’s relationship.
In February 2019, it was reported by Korean media that Daisy and Yunhyeong were romantically involved. Sources revealed that the two idols had been in a relationship for three to four months before the surprising revelation. This news quickly drew the focus of both YG and MLD.

During that period, YG Entertainment refuted the claims, stating that although the two idols had met a few times, they were not involved in a romantic relationship.
In contrast, MLD Entertainment, the former agency of Daisy, released a statement confirming the relationship and revealing that the couple has been dating for three months.
“This is our official stand regarding the rumors surrounding Daisy and Song Yunhyeong of iKON. After checking the facts (with Daisy), we confirmed that they have been seeing each other with interest for three months.”
On August 7, Daisy provided more information about the events that transpired leading up to the dating rumors. Her video also featured a stitched clip of an internet user dancing to iKON’s “Love Scenario”with the caption:
“Do y’all remember when Daisy and Yunhyeong were rumored to be hooking up and she confirmed it, but he denied it. He did my girl Daisy so dirty.”

Daisy confirmed her intention to clear up the misunderstanding and clarified that Yunhyeong had minimal involvement in the incident. She recalled receiving a phone call while in Japan, alerting her to an article circulating about her supposed “dating news”and the seriousness of the situation.
Daisy revealed that the phone call had been made by someone from MLD, who had also requested a meeting with her. Afterwards, the former idol departed in a separate vehicle and was brought to an unfamiliar office.

During the video, she disclosed that “John,”a higher-up in the company, had inquired about her thoughts on resolving the problem. In the end, she chose to reject the allegations.
“So I sat down at the office, and the very first thing John asked me was ‘What do you want to do about this?’ So, I tell John, ‘How about we deny it like a normal person would?
If you do (look at it again), you’ll see that there is no other evidence. The person who wrote the article was not even someone who frequents in writing celebrity gossip and there were literally no photos, evidence, or anything, it looked like it just came out from somebody’s a**.”
Despite Daisy’s insistence, “John”persisted in playing manipulative mind games with her, constantly reminding her of the potential consequences of online evidence, including leaked photos.
“But then, John starts playing mind games with me. So John goes ‘What if there are photos?’ and I’m like ‘But there aren’t’ and he’s like ‘But what if?”and that just keeps going back and forth.
He continues by saying, ‘But if there are photos or any evidence, it’s only gonna look bad for the girl, it always does.”

Despite the passage of time, Daisy still maintains that the mind games had a profound impact on her. According to her, she was present when her superiors called in a YG representative and demanded that the agency publicly deny the rumors.
Despite YG’s denial, John persisted in taunting Daisy with the notion of leaked photos. Eventually, she confessed to succumbing to the pressure.
“He looked at me and he was like, ‘Did you hear that? They’re going to deny it. So what are you going to do about that? I was like, ‘Oh, even better, I think we should just deny it too and follow suit. But he keeps bringing up those photos that never existed.
He kept taunting me with that. He was like, ‘But it’s going to be bad for your image, you’re a girl and if anything gets released after, it’s just going to make you look bad’ and it was working, sad to say. I admit my fault.”
Daisy went on to say:
“So the last thing I told John was ‘Then maybe if you know so well, then maybe you should just make the best decision for me’ and that was their best decision for me, apparently.
From a very personal perspective, I honestly felt that I was being coerced to confirm it. That wasn’t my initial decision nor my final decision, to be honest.”
