Exciting News for Pokemon Go Players: Free Ultra Beasts from Niantic!

Pokemon Go players were pleasantly surprised when they opened their apps to discover that they had received free Ultra Beast and Necrozma encounters as a form of “reimbursement”from Niantic. This unexpected gesture came after the players experienced issues with Go Fest 2024 Global.

The second weekend of July marked the Global event for Pokemon Go Fest 2024. During this event, players were given the opportunity to encounter and capture Ultra Beasts, including the Alolan Legendary Necrozma. However, on the first day of the event, many trainers experienced catch glitches in raids due to problems on the developer’s end.

Despite the promise of a make-up event to compensate affected players, no announcements were made after the conclusion of the Global celebrations.

Despite being over a month after Go Fest, players who logged into their games on August 26, 2024 were pleasantly surprised to find multiple Ultra Beast and Necrozma encounters waiting for them in the “Events”tab of the Research menu.

A player from X shared a picture of their storage box menu filled with Xurkitree and Necrozma. The photo also displays a Shiny Necrozma lower down in the list. The trainer expressed gratitude to Niantic for the impressive collection.

Thepokegohunter, another trainer, clarifies the method for quantifying the encounters, noting that the number received is proportional to the number of raids completed. They also provide evidence of their success with multiple encounter opportunities and a perfect Buzzwole caught through the reimbursement system.

Despite some players accidentally receiving a special reward, it does not appear to negatively impact the gameplay experience.

The majority of posts on social media have been tagged with “thanks Niantic”by players, with many praising this as one of the best “events”for addressing in-game issues.

The favorable response from Pokemon Go players may serve as a catalyst for implementing comparable forms of compensation for event-related problems in the future.
