EXO Suho and Chanyeol’s Festival Activities Cancelled Without Explanation, Fans Demand Answers From Organizers

The abrupt cancellation was met with discontent from fans.

Initially, Suho and Chanyeol were scheduled to perform at the Aria Festival on June 20. The news delighted many fans who were excited to make new memories with their beloved idols.

Regrettably, an announcement was shared on the official X (Twitter) account of Aria Festival, stating that Suho and Chanyeol’s appearance has been cancelled. The post explained that this decision was made due to unforeseen issues during the preparation process.

“Due to our circumstances during the preparation process from the festival, Suho and Chanyeol will unfortunately be unable to attend the ARIA FEST 2024.

In the light of current situation, we inform you that the performances of the aforementioned artists have been cancelled. We apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this update may have caused.

We are committed to delivering the best quality experience possible. Please look forward to further announcements. Your understanding and support are invaluable to us, as we aim to bring you an extraordinary event.

Thank you.”

The organizers were accused by EXO-Ls of deliberately leaving out the refund information in their initial announcement, causing the fans to become enraged and call them out.

  • “People have already booked their flights and accommodation just to see Chanyeol and Suho! You cancelled the event a week prior and you’re not making a refund?”
  • “What a scammer move.”
  • “I don’t want to see EXO at your concert in the future. How can I trust your words after you deleted the tweet and rephrased the words?”
  • “Don’t delete the refund, it’s not your money. Give it back!”
  • “Where can we get our refunds then?”
  • “Are you missing the refund part?”
  • “You cancelled the refund part?”
  • “I want my money, give me a refund! Why you did delete it? Now explain, we want more and more details.”
  • “How can we get a refund? We basically paid for those artists as well.”

Additionally, they highlighted the announcement’s ambiguous reference to the “circumstances,”causing speculation that this cancellation was possibly connected to SM Entertainment’s ongoing conflict with EXO-CBX.
