The time Suho shared with EXO-Ls (fandom) became even more meaningful when the idol himself took the lead in conceptualizing and directing the idea of “Home.”

Despite the intimate and inviting atmosphere, he continued to embrace his fans with his heartfelt singing as he delivered a live performance with a band, showcasing over 22 songs including his solo releases and popular tracks from EXO.

During his performances, Suho would take breaks to share stories behind each song in his setlist. One particular anecdote about his “special friend”caught the attention of K-pop fans, particularly Eris.

During the discussion of his song “For You Now”(feat. Younha), which was included in his debut mini-album “Self-Portrait”released in 2020, Suho became emotional as he recalled writing it with the late SHINee Jonghyun in mind.

“‘For You Now’ is a song that contains my desire to give back the love fans had given to me, but, in fact, this is also a song that I have written while thinking of this ‘friend’ of mine.”

Despite his initial skepticism, Suho eventually opened up and discussed the topic. He was pleasantly surprised by fans’ reactions, as they claimed to be reminded of their friend Jonghyun after listening to the song. He was delighted to know that his message had been effectively conveyed, even though he had not spoken about it prior to this.

Struggling to hold back his emotions, Suho managed to say:

“I got comments on MelOn, where people wrote something like, ‘This song reminds me of this artist, of this friend.’ I cried a lot while reading that.”

The male idol fondly remembered his moments with Jonghyun and vowed to carry on his legacy, promising to persist as a musician.

“This friend is someone who always gives comfort to fans and people. To be honest, I am also one of his fans. As I learned a lot from this friend, I also want to become someone who can keep giving love and comfort as an artist, musician and EXO’s leader, Suho.”

Suho and Jonghyun’s friendship began when they were both trainees at SM Entertainment, and it remained strong throughout the years.

Despite his injury, Suho was on the verge of debuting as a member of SHINee. Even though they ended up debuting in separate groups, the bond between him and Jonghyun remained strong, with Jonghyun even composing the song “Playboy”as a gift to EXO, a track that holds a special place in Suho’s heart.
