Exoborne Playtest: Sign-Up Details, Release Dates & Supported Platforms

A closed playtest for Sharkmob’s upcoming extraction shooter, Exoborne, is set to commence in October 2024, and interested PC gamers can register now.

The developers of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt revealed Exoborne during the 2023 Game Awards, showcasing an exciting third-person extraction shooter that combines open-world PvP gameplay with engaging PvE elements.

While Sharkmob has yet to announce a definitive release date, the game is confirmed to be in development for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

In anticipation of the game’s launch, a limited-time playtest will be available on PC this fall. Here’s what aspiring participants need to know about this upcoming event.

Closed Playtest Dates for Exoborne

The Exoborne playtest is scheduled to start on Thursday, October 10 at 8:00 AM PDT and will run until Thursday, October 24 at 8:00 AM PDT.

It’s important to note that this testing phase will exclusively be available on PC, and Sharkmob has not provided any information on potential testing for PlayStation and Xbox platforms at this time.

How to Sign Up for the Playtest

register for a chance to participate in the playtest by visiting Exoborne’s official website. The sign-up process will require users to provide information regarding their location and other personal details.

The FAQ section on the website indicates that there is no guarantee of acceptance for all applicants. Those selected to participate will be required to sign a NDA, which will prohibit them from disclosing any details, screenshots, or gameplay experiences from the playtest.

Details on what the playtest will entail remain limited, but players can expect to dive into a tactical extraction shooter set in an apocalyptic United States ravaged by “extreme forces of nature.”

Equipped with advanced exoskeletons known as Exo-Rigs, gamers will engage in battles against other soldiers while navigating the challenges posed by Mother Nature, including tornadoes and devastating storms.
