EXO’s Baekhyun Issues Apology for Indoor Smoking Incident, Claims He Was Unaware of Ban

On September 16, INB100, Baekhyun’s management agency, released an apology following the backlash the male idol faced for smoking indoors at a restaurant.

Recently, a video surfaced online showing Baekhyun smoking indoors at what appeared to be a restaurant. In the footage, he is seen sitting in a corner, engaging in conversation with staff members while smoking.

Here is the complete official statement from Baekhyun’s agency:

“Hello, this is INB100.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable due to the recent indoor smoking incident involving our artist, Baekhyun, which has been widely circulated online.

At that moment, Baekhyun and our team were not aware that electronic cigarettes were prohibited in Macau. Following a meal with staff after the performance in Macau, Baekhyun inadvertently used an electronic cigarette as the discussion continued.

Baekhyun genuinely regrets disappointing many fans with his thoughtless actions and deeply feels remorse over this incident.

We assure everyone that we will exercise more caution in the future to avoid similar situations and to not let fans down.

We also aspire to showcase a more mature side of Baekhyun moving forward.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for causing concern and discomfort to many individuals. We are truly sorry.”
