The leader of EXO gained attention for sharing his thoughts on the ongoing dispute between EXO-CBX and SM Entertainment.
On June 10, EXO-CBX conducted a press conference to address their concerns about SM Entertainment’s alleged unfair treatment. The group also disclosed that the agency had reportedly requested a portion of their personal earnings from individual activities.
Gradually, SM responded by alleging that EXO-CBX had misrepresented the truth and refuting their allegations.
On June 17, Korean news outlets published an interview with Suho, in which the leader apologized to Eris for the legal conflict between EXO-CBX and SM.
The interview was held on June 14 at SM’s office building in Seongsi-dong, Seoul. Sources reported that Suho expressed his surprise and embarrassment upon reading the news about EXO-CBX’s press conference.
After apologizing to the fans of EXO, Suho also revealed that the other members were also feeling the impact of the conflict.
The leader expressed remorse, stating, “I apologize for the inconvenience, and I know the rest of the members are also feeling heartache.”
Suho proceeded:
“We had a similar problem last year, 2023, and three of the members ran into legal problems with the company, so I’m worried about the fans’ feelings. The rest of the members also want to apologize to fans.”
When asked about EXO’s future activities, Suho also responded, saying:
“I couldn’t help but see the reaction of our fans. I think they were more surprised than we were and they were hurting. I really felt their feelings in the posts, which really hurt my heart. It hurt me even more and I wanted to make sure to apologize to them.
I’m taking this opportunity to tell them that. Not only me but the rest of the members also feel sorry for the fans due to the incident. Sehun and Kai are going to be discharged next year. We were already preparing a winter album and we’re still discussing our activities in 2025.
I really want to give the fans music without a hitch, but I’m worried.”
Here is the response from fans to Suho’s thoughts:
that’s really good way to answer the question without saying anything that could affect both sides. i really admire his professionalism. i just hope that he wouldn’t be stressed so much with all of these responsibilities in his shoulder. take care of urself too, junmyeon! https://t.co/h3Y1w1KV3a

See how careful and respectful he is in sharing his opinions? He answered it so well, yet people like to misinterpret and twist his words. As if he’s not the most dedicated to keep the group going. https://t.co/4GF6bsyZXQ

The fact that some on here need proof to believe in him makes me sick. Suho has shown time and time again how much he is willing to do to protect the members and the fans 😠 https://t.co/YwnPRdFmZX
