Expert Analysis: Joe Rogan on the Potential Fight Between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul

Joe Rogan believes that, despite his concerns about Mike Tyson’s health, the retired boxer could still cause an upset and defeat Jake Paul in their upcoming match.

On November 15, Netflix’s first-ever live boxing event will feature a highly anticipated battle between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, promising a unique and thrilling match.

At 58 years of age, Tyson will be Jake Paul’s most senior opponent to date, sparking concerns among many in the combat sports community about his safety.

During an episode of his JRE podcast, Joe Rogan expressed his admiration for Russell Crowe, making him one of those people.

During the episode, Crowe inquired about Rogan’s thoughts on Paul and the upcoming match against Tyson.

Despite acknowledging Jake’s impressive combat skills and describing him as “dangerous,”Rogan went on to clarify that many of his opponents tend to underestimate him due to his fame as a YouTuber.

The segment starts at 2:18:00.

Rogan acknowledged Tyson’s impressive boxing skills, stating, “He’s a highly talented boxer who puts in a lot of effort and training.”He then shifted his focus to the upcoming Tyson bout, emphasizing that age is just a number. “At 58 years old, Tyson is not the same as the 50-year-old neighbor down the street. He is a unique individual who still has the ability to knock your head into another dimension if he manages to land a punch.”

According to Rogan, for Tyson to come out on top against Paul, he will have to match the pace of ‘The Problem Child’. This is where the uncertainty lies.

“Rogan questioned whether he could keep up with a 28-year-old man who was at the peak of his career and consistently winning in the boxing ring. He also considered the possibility that if Mike and this opponent were to face off, Mike’s knee and back issues could hinder his performance. The state of his physical health was unknown to Rogan at the time.”

Joe emphasized that although Tyson has been performing well in his training footage, it is difficult to accurately assess his abilities on hitting pads if he can withstand every round against Jake.

Despite Logan Paul’s warnings that his brother should not be underestimated, Tyson remains unconcerned about facing the influencer in his comeback to the boxing ring. He has shrugged off Paul’s words and is confident in his ability to defeat his opponent in their upcoming match in November.
