Explaining Quanxi’s Girlfriends and Their Devils in Chainsaw Man

In the world of Chainsaw Man, Quanxi stands out as a notorious Chinese assassin, commonly referred to as “The First Devil Hunter.”She is a Hybrid who shares a connection with the Bow Devil, and her formidable strength and exceptional combat skills make her a force to be reckoned with. Furthermore, her unique relationship with four female Fiends, often called her “girlfriends,”sets her apart in both personal and professional realms.

The names of her companions are Cosmo, Tsugihagi, Long, and Pingtsi. Each of these Devils plays an integral role in Quanxi’s life, providing essential support in battle while also engaging in a profound romantic connection with her. Their individual abilities enhance Quanxi’s fighting style, creating a formidable team.

The dynamics of her relationships with these Fiends are intricate, highlighting her role as a leader and her unwavering loyalty in the tumultuous, Devil-ridden universe of Chainsaw Man.

Understanding Quanxi’s harem

As previously noted, Quanxi’s harem includes four distinct female Fiends: Cosmo, Tsugihagi, Long, and Pingtsi. Their introduction in chapter 54 reveals Quanxi’s dominant presence, as her followers exhibit profound loyalty and recognition of her leadership.

These Fiends not only provide companionship but also play pivotal roles in combat alongside Quanxi. Each carries a unique personality and possesses special abilities related to their Fiend status.

Among them, Cosmo leaves a lasting impression. She embodies an existential dread of omniscience, wielding universal knowledge while maintaining an indifferent demeanor, characterized by a constant smile and a repetitive utterance of “Halloween.”In contrast, Tsugihagi presents as a stitched-up, Frankenstein-like Fiend; however, her silence adds to the air of mystery surrounding her unwavering loyalty to Quanxi.

Long, similarly enigmatic, often displays emotions through her facial expressions, with her wrists chained, suggesting a submissive trait. Her appearance is reminiscent of Power’s. Finally, Pingtsi, sporting goggles and short hair, is effervescent and chatty, capable of conversing in both Japanese and Chinese and often sharing insightful trivia to entertain Quanxi.

It’s crucial to note that Quanxi’s Fiends are not to be underestimated. Each member of this talented group possesses unique abilities that synergize effectively with Quanxi’s combat techniques, making them exceptionally dangerous enemies.

To start, Cosmo, known as the Cosmos Fiend, wield abilities that include Total Understanding, allowing her to telepathically draw her targets into an expansive mental space reminiscent of a vast library, forcing them to assimilate universal knowledge and become immobilized as they can only contemplate “Halloween”until their demise. Despite her omniscience during this ability’s activation, outside of it, she only utters “Halloween.”

Next, as a Fiend, Tsugihagi cannot form contracts, and her powers are less potent than in her Devil form. Her full range of abilities remains enigmatic, though she retains the standard strengths typical of Devils.

Long also shares this limitation as a Fiend, possessing reduced strength outside her Devil state, but she is able to exhale large torrents of fire from her mouth, showcasing her unique combat prowess.
