In One Piece episode 1113, the anime’s story takes a temporary turn as it shifts from Egghead to Hachinosu, a New World island that serves as the hideout for the Blackbeard Pirates. The episode, titled “Run, Koby! A Desperate Escape Strategy!”, centers on the rescue mission for Koby, who has been captured by Marshall D. Teach and is being held captive on Hachinosu.
During the Amazon Lily siege, Teach’s plans were disrupted by the sudden appearance of “Dark King”Silvers Rayleigh. However, Teach saw an opportunity to use captured Koby as leverage in future negotiations with the World Government. In order to save Koby, members of SWORD launched an attack on Hachinosu, which was heavily guarded by Blackbeard’s crew.
The subsequent clash showcased the unique capabilities of the Blackbeard Pirates’ top members and the SWORD agents. It is worth noting that Teach’s crew is known as the “Ability Users Hunter”due to their penchant for stealing others’ Devil Fruit abilities. Thus, in One Piece episode 1113, viewers are given the opportunity to witness the full extent of the Blackbeard Pirates’ newfound Devil Fruit powers.
Revealing the Devil Fruit Abilities of Avalo Pizarro, Prince Grus, and More in One Piece Episode 1113
Avalo Pizarro’s Island-Island Fruit
Having previously been held captive in Impel Down’s Level 6, Avalo Pizarro, also known as the “Corrupt King”, has now become a prominent member of the Blackbeard Pirates. After the two-year timeskip, Pizarro consumed the Island-Island Fruit, granting him the ability to merge with and control any island at will.
Thanks to his Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, Pizarro has the ability to merge with his surroundings, allowing him to see, feel, and hear everything on the island’s surface. This grants him the ability to perform incredible feats, such as manipulating the landscape, including mountains and buildings.
During One Piece episode 1113, Pizarro was able to utilize the enormous skull-shaped rock at Hachinosu to communicate with the inhabitants of the island. By exerting control over the island itself, Pizarro proved to be a formidable adversary. Additionally, he displayed the ability to manipulate the surroundings, even creating massive limbs to aid in his attacks.
Pizarro’s Island-Island Fruit gives him the ability to merge his body with an entire island, amplifying the scale and range of his attacks and increasing his resistance to damage due to the island’s sheer size. This is in contrast to Pica’s Stone-Stone Fruit, which only allows the user to merge with the stone in their immediate surroundings.
Pizarro’s Devil Fruit is a more versatile version compared to Pica’s, as any damage inflicted on the island will also affect Pizarro’s true body. This is due to the Island-Island Fruit’s ability to reflect any harm caused to the environment onto the user’s real body, a weakness that Pica’s Stone-Stone Fruit lacks.
Vasco Shot’s Glug-Glug Fruit
Notorious for his lecherous and vicious behavior, “Heavy Drinker” Vasco Shot is one of the many Level 6 prisoners who joined Teach during the mass escape from Impel Down. As his nickname suggests, Shot is known for his excessive drinking and is rarely seen completely sober.
Considering this, there is no other Devil Fruit ability that would be more suitable for Vasco Shot than the Glug-Glug Fruit, which he acquired during the recent timeskip. The Glug-Glug Fruit’s abilities are alcohol-based, enabling him to expel alcohol while simultaneously setting it on fire to produce formidable streams of flames.
In episode 1113 of One Piece, Shot intended to employ this maneuver in order to ignite Hachinosu and trap Koby and the rest of the group. However, Pizarro reminded him that this action would anger Blackbeard, as they had only just finished repairing the destruction caused by the Rocky Port Incident.
The Power of Sanjuan Wolf’s Huge-Huge Fruit
After Teach’s attack on Impel Down, Sanjuan Wolf, along with Pizarro and Vasco Shot, was imprisoned at Level 6 and eventually joined the Blackbeard Pirates. He gained the nickname “Colossal Battleship”due to his immense size and ability to enlarge his body even further with the Huge-Huge Fruit.
The Huge-Huge Fruit granted Sanjuan the ability to grow to a size approximately ten times larger than an ordinary Elbaf giant, distinguishing him as the largest being in the One Piece universe. Despite the common vulnerability of Devil Fruit users to water, Sanjuan’s immense height enables him to stand in the ocean. Essentially, the fruit bestows the power of gigantification upon its consumer.
Prince Grus’ Clay-Clay Fruit
Prince Grus, a Marine officer of the SWORD unit, was first showcased in the Oh My Family cover story. During this encounter, he effortlessly defeated Gotti, a member of the Fire Tank Pirates. Despite officially holding the rank of Rear Admiral, Grus’ overall strength is likely superior to that of the majority of Vice Admirals.
Prince Grus consumed the Clay-Clay Fruit, granting him the ability to create and manipulate clay. Although clay is a naturally found material, it is uncertain if Grus has the ability to fully transform into clay. Therefore, it is currently unknown if his Devil Fruit falls under the category of Logia or Paramecia.
Despite the unknown nature of the Clay-Clay Fruit, its powers prove to be incredibly versatile. Grus is able to manipulate the hardness and form of clay to his liking, summoning large and pliable masses of the material and crafting small, solid weapons.
Similarly to Charlotte Cracker’s use of biscuit soldiers created by the Biscuit-Biscuit Fruit, Grus has the ability to control clay golems in battle. These golems possess their own fighting and speaking abilities, and are impervious to most forms of damage. In the event of any harm, they can easily reform from clay, much like Logia users do.
Kujaku’s Devil Fruit: Whip-Whip Fruit
Kujaku is a Marine Rear Admiral and a member of SWORD. She is the granddaughter of the renowned Marine officer Tsuru and has consumed the Whip-Whip Fruit, which she demonstrated in One Piece episode 1113. With this Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, Kujaku is able to subdue any target she strikes with her whip, instilling obedience within it.
After being struck by Kujaku’s whip, her targets are compelled to move according to her will, regardless of whether it is physically possible under normal circumstances. This ability, bestowed by the Whip-Whip Fruit, extends even to inanimate objects such as buildings and structures. In episode 1113 of One Piece, Kujaku utilized her surreal powers to ensnare a group of henchmen belonging to the Blackbeard Pirates, effectively trapping them.
