Explaining the Regaining of Hawks’ Quirk in My Hero Academia

Despite being one of the strongest heroes before and during the events of the Final War arc, Hawks, also known as Keigo Takami from My Hero Academia, was ultimately stripped of his Quirk by All For One. This occurred as he valiantly attempted to save Tokoyami from suffering the same fate. Despite the eventual defeat of All For One by Bakugo, Keigo was not able to regain his Quirk and the Final War came to a close.

After the eight-year time skip in the final chapter, Keigo was given the role of the next President of the Heroes Public Safety Commission. Despite losing his Quirk during the final war, he returned as a hero. He had previously hoped that the death of All For One would result in the return of stolen Quirks to their owners, but this scenario did not come to fruition.

Despite Hawks’ efforts, he was unable to regain his Quirk at the end of My Hero Academia. Once All For One stole it, the only possible outcome was for it to either be used by the Demon Lord or cease to exist.

Despite being outmatched by the antagonist, who was intent on stealing Tokoyami’s powerful Dark Shadow Quirk, the Pro Hero valiantly protected him. In the end, it was Keigo who prevented All For One from succeeding, but at the cost of losing his own powers in the fight.

Hawks (Keigo Takami) found himself in a dire situation when All For One was resurrected with the help of the highly respected Quirk-destroying drug created by Dr. Garaki. To make matters worse, Toga also joined the fight as Twice, unleashing an army of clones through his Sad Man’s Parade. As a result, Hawks was forced to face an overwhelming number of Twice clones, one after another.

Despite witnessing the heroes being occupied with their subordinates, All For One attempted to retreat from the battlefield and intervene in the clash between TomurAFO and Deku. Nevertheless, Hawks confronted the villain and prevented him from interrupting the crucial showdown that would determine the outcome of the ultimate war.

Despite the arrival of reinforcements such as Tokoyami and Shinso, and the interference of Gigantomachia, Keigo was only able to temporarily subdue All For One. The villain proved impossible to control as he retaliated with the use of a stolen Quirk known as the Impure Laser.

Not only did this quirk result in the death of Gigantomachia, but it also caused serious harm to Keigo and Tokoyami. The villain proceeded to approach them with the intention of stealing Tokoyami’s Dark Shadow Quirk, but Keigo was not prepared for his former partner to experience such cruelty at such a young age.

Keigo utilized his Quirk to leap onto the villain, attempting to restrain him. Despite his efforts, All For One managed to steal his Quirk and taunted him for his actions. Despite being stripped of his Quirk, Keigo persisted in his determination to protect Tokoyami, until Bakugo arrived and defeated the antagonist.

Despite Keigo’s hopeful imagination of the return of all stolen Quirks to their rightful owners after All For One’s death, this scenario did not come to fruition. Tragically, Keigo also lost his own Quirk, Fierce Wings. Following the conclusion of the final war, Keigo retired from his heroic duties and assumed the role of the Heroes Public Safety Commission’s President.

Keigo paid a visit to some of his longtime friends and, after careful deliberation, put into effect a set of new regulations. The most significant of these was the emphasis on the importance of heroes taking time to unwind, something that Keigo himself longed for during his tenure as a hero in My Hero Academia.
