The commencement of the final war in My Hero Academia can be traced back to chapter 343, when Aoyama unexpectedly attacked All for One, who had suddenly appeared. With Aoyama joining the ranks of the heroes, they launched their ultimate battle against the villains by utilizing Monoma’s ability to split them apart using Kurogiri’s quirk. However, this tactic also resulted in some heroes becoming separated and the battles becoming more fragmented.

Dabi, the secondary antagonist, was taken to a location where he confronted Todoroki. Though Todoroki had previously defeated Dabi with his Flashfire Fist, the latter returned with his mother’s ice quirk. However, just as Dabi was about to wreak havoc, Shoto’s ice powers proved stronger and ultimately led to Dabi’s ultimate defeat.

Despite their best efforts, the heroes, including Endeavor, were no match for the central antagonist, All for One. He had been bound to the mountainside, but his powers allowed him to become younger and defeat Endeavor and his allies.

Just as All Might was about to be defeated by his arch-nemesis, All for One, he was saved by Bakugo, who appeared out of nowhere. All Might had been given a suit that enhanced his powers, but even with this assistance, he was no match for All for One. Thanks to Bakugo’s unexpected arrival, All for One was ultimately defeated.

Upon being forcibly transported to Okuto Island, Izuku, Uraraka, and Tsuyu found themselves in a battle against Yoda Himiko. Without a moment to spare, Izuku entrusted his classmates with the task of handling the main battlefield and rushed into the fight. Despite the fight being more focused on exchanging heartfelt words rather than physical blows, Uraraka emerged victorious thanks to Himiko’s quirk. In a heroic sacrifice, Himiko gave her life for the sake of the hero.

And lastly, the climax of My Hero Academia’s ultimate battle, the showdown between TomurAFO and Deku. The beginning of this epic fight was revealed when Deku was suddenly transported to a different location, leaving Bakugo and other Pro Heroes to confront TomurAFO. The intense battle took place within a floating U.A. structure, specifically created to neutralize Shigaraki’s destructive Decay.

Despite the arrival of Lemillion, it came as no surprise that the villain was able to fatally wound Bakugo by piercing his chest. Unfortunately, Deku also entered the scene at the same time, causing him to become disoriented. However, thanks to Lemillion’s help, the ultimate showdown between TomurAFO and Deku began.

After Bakugo’s reappearance, with assistance from Edgeshot, and the defeat of All for One, TomurAFO transforms back into Tomura Shigaraki. In a fierce battle, Deku momentarily appeared to be a villain as Black Whip overpowered him, but he was able to transfer all of the vestiges to Tomura and enter his mind to offer guidance from the moment he turned into a villain.

Regrettably, just as Deku was about to reach Tomura’s most vulnerable spot, All for One manifested as a vestige and took over Tomura’s body, resulting in Deku being expelled from his body. As TomurAFO resurfaced, the battle heavily favored the villains since Deku had relinquished his quirk to Tomura.

However, with the arrival of all the students, he was able to gain a significant boost in morale. This enabled him to create enough distance between himself and TomurAFO, ultimately passing on the remaining embers of One for All to All for One.

With the assistance of the One for All vestiges, Tomura and Deku were able to defeat All for One permanently by delivering the final blow to the true evil. As a result, Shigaraki’s body disintegrated upon Deku’s touch, signaling the conclusion of the ultimate war.

The Fate of the Heroes After the Final War in My Hero Academia

Luckily, none of the main heroes perished, although many of them sustained serious wounds. Bakugo was rescued just in time and was still able to defeat All for One, despite potentially facing permanent injuries. Deku also risked everything by transferring all of his quirks and nearly losing the use of his hands. Uraraka was also on the brink of death, but was rescued by Toga.

Despite the fact that it remains unconfirmed, the majority of the heroes in My Hero Academia’s final war were not sacrificed, including Endeavor’s sidekicks who were burned to a crisp by Dabi’s flames. The final war did, however, result in the demise of several minor characters.

The Possible Outcomes for the Villains after the Final War in My Hero Academia

The series’ main villains, All for One and Shigaraki, met their permanent ends during the final war. Additionally, Gigantomachia may have also perished, as All for One destroyed half of his body. Gigantomachia’s betrayal of All for One and his refusal to return may have been the reason for his demise, as he was hindering All for One’s goal of reaching TomurAFO.

The hero killer Stain (Chizome Akaguro) ultimately perished at the hands of All for One. He met his end while helping All Might defeat All for One, but was ultimately defeated by the latter. Dabi and Spinner both survived the final battle. Additionally, Toga could have potentially faced death as she selflessly gave her blood to save a dying Uraraka, despite her own anemic condition.

Does Deku still have his quirk after My Hero Academia’s Final War?

Like All Might, Deku also retained remnants of One for All after the conclusion of the final battle in My Hero Academia. This suggests that he may still have the potential to be a hero, though it remains uncertain if his condition will be as severe as All Might’s.

As stated by Horikoshi, the upcoming chapters of the series will revolve around the title, making My Hero Academia’s final war arc one of the standout moments in media.
