While not officially confirmed, numerous teasers and leaks have hinted at a fresh Warzone map titled ‘Avalon’ for months. Following the launch of Black Ops 6, players are finally getting a detailed glimpse of what this new battle royale map has to offer.
The first mention of Avalon surfaced within a teaser for Rebirth Island, where players identified the name and a map of the area during the initial BO6 reveal challenges. Observant gamers soon discovered that the Training Course featured in the BO6 beta, which corresponds to the Protocol map, was set on one of Avalon’s islands.
With the complete release of Black Ops 6, fans can now see Avalon in its clearest form, as it has been integrated into one of the 16 multiplayer maps.
As revealed by ‘Lightsfire,’ launching a Private Match on Lowtown and activating the Codcaster mode allows players to venture outside the playable area and start exploring the anticipated Warzone map.

Even though the level of detail and textures may not reflect those of the final version, players can navigate around and scrutinize the arrangement of varying Points of Interest (POIs). This includes familiar locations like Firing Range and Hacienda from Black Ops 1 and 4, as well as the new Black Ops 6 map, Skyline.
After conducting our own exploration, it’s evident that Avalon is massive, boasting numerous large POIs and expansive green areas in between. An abundance of water features, particularly in the southern part of the map, could lead to intriguing final circle encounters. Nevertheless, developers might implement alterations leading up to its official unveiling.
Additionally, a Reddit user named ‘Dull-Caterpillar3153′ has crafted a conceptual map of Avalon, labeling each site based on visual cues or historical multiplayer map names. While this is merely a fan creation, it aligns well with the in-game layout we’ve observed.

When Avalon teasers first surfaced, many hoped it would be the new Warzone map introduced with the integration of Black Ops 6 in Season 1.
However, the announcement of Area 99 and the return of the original Verdansk in early 2025 have clarified that Avalon is not set to launch in the near future.
A report from Insider Gaming suggests that Avalon is slated to be the new battle royale map for COD 2025, which is expected to reintroduce several classic BO2 maps and adopt a fresh omnimovement system.
