According to rumored spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 259, it is said that Choso sacrifices himself to shield his brother Yuji Itadori from Ryomen Sukuna’s Divine Flames, ultimately resulting in his death.

As soon as Sukuna unleashed his Divine Flames technique, they were aimed at Yuji. But just before they could reach him, Choso bravely shielded Yuji by creating a protective barrier of blood around him.

As the flames engulfed Choso, he slowly began to die. This heartbreaking sight left Yuji devastated, unable to believe that his brother was passing away before his very eyes. To make matters even worse, Choso apologized to Yuji for his perceived uselessness during their month-long training session.
