However, Sumire was among the select few who exhibited immunity to its effects.

Fan Theories Explore Sumire’s Potential Connection to the Otsutsuki Clan

The cornerstone of this theory revolves around Sumire and her mother’s bloodline. Speculations indicate that this bloodline serves as a connection between Sumire, the Otsutsuki Clan, and significantly, the Gozu Tenno seal. This technique was developed by Sumire’s father, Tanuki Shigaraki, a scientist associated with Root, an organization founded by Danzo Shimura which was disbanded after his demise.

The creation of the Gozu Tenno sealing technique was directly linked to the treatment of his family due to their affiliation with Root. This sealing technique facilitates the surgical implantation of Hashirama cells into the vessel, creating a gateway to another dimension inhabited by a large beast named Nue. Sasuke Uchiha, upon witnessing this technique, remarked on its similarities to the powers wielded by Kaguya Otsutsuki.

The seal itself presents substantial risks; nonetheless, Tanuki had unwavering faith in his daughter’s survival. He expressed that the implantation of Hashirama cells in typical humans could prove fatal almost instantly. Remarkably, Sumire survived this procedure when she was merely eight years old.

At the tender age of eight, Sumire not only underwent this procedure but did so without further modifications to her body. The only other shinobi capable of enduring a similar experience was Madara Uchiha, who spent years adapting to it.
