Exploring the Origins of Boruto’s Uzuhiko in Minato’s One-Shot

Fans of the series have been busy speculating on how Boruto acquired his unique Rasengan Uzuhiko Jutsu, yet the manga has not disclosed the complete story. One intriguing theory circulating online posits that Boruto did not invent this jutsu independently but rather absorbed knowledge of it from the renowned Uzumaki clan.

The manga indicates that Kashin Koji aimed to educate Boruto about various jutsus that he would eventually encounter in potential futures. This suggests that Rasengan Uzuhiko might also be a technique Boruto inherited rather than one he developed entirely on his own.

To delve deeper into this theory, fans might want to revisit the earlier Minato manga, which was published before the release of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

Recalling previous releases, before the debut of the Two Blue Vortex manga, Masashi Kishimoto introduced Naruto: The Whorl Within the Spiral. This earlier work significantly highlighted the roots of Minato Namikaze’s Rasengan and provided insight into why Kushina Uzumaki chose that particular name. It also emphasized the concepts of “spiral”and “vortex,”which are central to the Uzumaki clan’s identity.

The timing of this information, coming directly before the launch of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, could be interpreted as a subtle indication that Rasengan Uzuhiko has links to the Uzumaki clan. This connection raises the possibility that this latest jutsu from Boruto may indeed trace its origins back to his clan.

The manga narrative reveals that Kashin Koji’s plan was to instruct Boruto on all the jutsu he would eventually master across all possible futures. This includes techniques such as the Flying Raijin. This leads to the consideration that Rasengan Uzuhiko might also be a technique that Kashin Koji foresaw Boruto mastering in an alternate timeline. So, one might wonder: how did this future version of Boruto acquire Rasengan Uzuhiko?

While the current version of Boruto may not have reached this mastery, a future incarnation of him could have traveled back in time to learn the technique directly from the Uzumaki clan.

This theory may seem outlandish to some, but it’s essential to recall that although the Uzumaki Clan faced destruction, the exact assailants responsible for their downfall remain ambiguous. According to a theory by Kashy Kage on YouTube, the Otsutsuki Clan could have played a pivotal role in their eradication, viewing the Uzumaki Clan’s Uzuhiko Jutsu as a serious danger to their existence. Thus, eradicating them beforehand was a strategic move.

In the realm of alternate futures, the advanced version of Boruto could have ventured back in time, learning Rasengan Uzuhiko from his clan. This acquisition would subsequently enable Kashin Koji to share that jutsu with the current Boruto.
