Twitch sensation ExtraEmily experienced a shocking accident that left her emotionally shaken after she fell from a mechanical bull at LA Comic Con, resulting in a painful collision that affected her chin.
Known for her energetic on-stream antics, ExtraEmily’s latest escapade took a dangerous turn when an unfortunate incident at LA Comic Con not only caused blood loss but also startled her audience as they witnessed the accident live.
While exploring the bustling LA Comic Con floor, Emily decided to test her skills on a nearby mechanical bull, which was being offered for just $5 a ride—a modest price to deliver entertainment to her followers.
However, the ride didn’t go as planned. After only a few moments, the bull started to spin wildly, throwing Emily off and into the cushioned area surrounding the setup.
During a clip of the unfortunate incident, it appeared that the streamer struck her chin on the bull’s nose, leaving her visibly disoriented as she exited the seating.
In a moment of realization, Emily discovered she was bleeding after glancing at her chin through her camera’s viewfinder, which alarmed and concerned her viewers. The sight of blood trickling down her hand shocked her audience.
Overwhelmed, the streamer began to tear up and anxiously searched for medical assistance or a first-aid station.
“I don’t know what I hit, but I hit it so hard,” she expressed through tears. “Ow, ow. I’m okay — I don’t know who to talk to. Oh my god, I’m sorry. …I struck something hard, and it clamped my jaw. I’m really fortunate I didn’t bite my tongue off.”
Fortunately, a staff member noticed Emily in distress, handed her a paper towel to help stop the bleeding, and escorted her to a nearby break room for recovery.
Despite being shaken, Emily opted not to file a report, reassuring everyone that she had “signed a waiver” covering her in case of injuries. Thankfully, she was alright, and fellow OTK streamer Esfand soon came by to lend support.
This incident isn’t unique; many streamers have faced severe injuries while live streaming. For instance, in July, League of Legends creator Simon ‘Thebausffs’ Hofverberg suffered a bloody injury after hitting his head while attempting to showcase his ice cream collection, leading to a visit to emergency services.
