The requirement for the main characters to travel to a different continent in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest introduces a plethora of new characters. In episode 2, we are not only introduced to a new character, but also a Dragon Slayer by the name of Kiria.
Kiria, a member of the Diabolos guild, was taken prisoner by the villagers with the intention of being sacrificed to the Water Dragon God. This guild specializes in recruiting Fifth Generation Dragon Slayers, powerful mages who enhance their abilities by consuming the flesh of the Dragons they defeat.
Despite facing Gray Fullbuster’s powerful ice magic, she proved to be strong enough to break through it. Her strength even made Natsu Dragneel concerned, showing just how formidable she was. The introduction of Madmole in the show further demonstrated her power as he was able to withstand a direct hit from Ezra’s blade to his head without any visible damage, showcasing his impressive durability in battle.
Review of Episode 2 of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest: The First Major Hurdle
The conclusion of the second episode left viewers on the edge of their seats with a major cliffhanger. Natsu Dragneel and his companions were faced with a town completely submerged in water, leading them to seek help from a hotel manager who provided them with a potion to adjust to their new surroundings. However, just as suddenly as the water appeared, it disappeared, shocking everyone and hinting at the presence of a powerful entity.
The Water Dragon God appeared, fulfilling the quest’s requirement to seal or defeat one of the five dragons. This marked the introduction of the first major antagonist, who must be vanquished by Natsu and his companions, making for a satisfying conclusion to the episode.
