Moreover, episode 4 of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest also featured the return of Brandish, a familiar character from the original series. As a former member of the formidable Spriggan 12, she was known as a significant danger. Brandish’s strength on the battlefield was unmatched, with only a select few able to rival her magical prowess.
The interaction between her and Lucy Heartfilia was very pleasant. She even assisted Lucy when she asked for help and declared her intention to pursue the Aquarius key, despite seeing Lucy as her competitor.

In episode 4 of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, the battle involving the Dragon Slayers was also disappointing. Natsu Dragneel was eventually able to overcome Madmole’s Dragon Armor, but the depiction of the scorching heat that melted the armor was lacking in quality. The animation appeared to freeze a frame and only animate the flames.
Despite the punch that rendered Skullion Raider unconscious, it failed to convey the full force behind the blow. All in all, J.C. Staff mishandled the fight scene in this instance.

Despite being considered one of the highlights of the chapter in the manga, the reveal in the anime was poorly animated and lacked a proper build-up. The reveal was rushed, without any time dedicated to showing the formation of the blade. It would have been beneficial if more time had been spent on this aspect.
The review for episode 4 of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest was largely negative, with many aspects in need of improvement. The animation in particular was very subpar, lacking any dynamic camera angles which resulted in a lackluster fight sequence.
