He was the only one left alive after a disaster had swept through the previously prosperous community, leaving nothing but destruction behind.
Despite the tragedy, he was filled with determination. He was motivated by an unyielding determination to prevent others from experiencing a similar fate. As a result, he took on the responsibility of creating the first wizard guild in history.

Lucy remembers that Gildarts, a formidable member of Fairy Tail, had once attempted this mission and failed. However, Natsu remains hopeful, encouraged by the unwavering support of his companions.
As the team cautiously enters the seemingly deserted guild, they are taken aback to see a dragon perched high above them. The dragon, who introduces himself as Elefseria, the Law Dragon, warmly welcomes them as the “99th heroes.”He then discloses that he is the one who has requested their assistance for the hundred-year quest.
Erza inquires about the lack of other guild members and Elefseria clarifies that the members of Magia Dragon have all passed away, and newer generations of wizards tend to favor more contemporary guilds.
Natsu and Wendy were quick to identify Elefseria as a human, which was confirmed when he transformed into an elderly wizard. He revealed that he was a self-taught Dragon Slayer who, like Acnologia, had transformed into a dragon due to overusing his powers. Despite Elefseria’s warning about the dangers of their quest, the team remained confident in their ability to face any risks.

Elefseria requires that all Fairy Tail mages provide their consent by signing a form for the quest. Despite her initial hesitation, Lucy remembers Virgo’s suggestion of a possible encounter with Aquarius in Guiltina and decides to sign the form, eager to uncover more about the quest. Elefseria then discloses the challenging mission at hand: they must seal away the Five Dragon Gods, who possess powers that rival even Acnologia’s.
While traveling through the Valeria region in southern Guiltina, the team comes across some strange creatures, further emphasizing the uniqueness of the continent. Lucy recalls Elefseria’s previous explanation about the Five Dragon Gods, who chose not to participate in the Dragon King Festival, yet wielded incredible magical abilities.
Despite Elefseria’s awareness of the danger they posed, he still failed to seal away the dragons using his dragon slayer magic. In a last ditch effort for assistance, he issued the hundred-year quest to other mages.
Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest: Natsu and Team’s Journey to Ermina, and Gajeel’s Investigation of their New Guildmate
Elefseria leads the team to Ermina’s harbor, which was once the hub of a religion devoted to Mercphobia, the Water Dragon. While looking for a place to stay in the town, they remain oblivious to the presence of a mysterious man and woman observing them. The woman refers to her companion as Suijin, the Water God.
In Magnolia, Gajeel voices his doubts about Touka to Lily, Juvia, and Levy. The initial episode of Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest concludes as Gajeel suggests looking into Touka and agrees to tail her, an idea that Juvia welcomes but Levy hesitates about.
