The release date for the third episode of Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest was July 21, 2024. This installment provided further details about the Water Dragon God, Mercphobia, and his desire to be sealed in order to protect his people and Ermina from potential destruction. He also disclosed that his powers were stripped away by an individual referred to as the White Wizard.
In Ishgar, Jellal is on a journey to visit different guilds and find Touka, who has recently joined Fairy Tail. When he discovers her location, he discloses the truth about her true identity and her incredible strength, which rivals even that of Zeref.
Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest: Natsu and Team Encounter the Water Dragon God as Diabolo Makes His Escape
The third episode of Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest picks up where the second episode ended. As they descend into the parted ocean, Mercphobia orders any who have malicious intentions towards him to depart. Undeterred, Kiria readies herself for a fight against the Water Dragon, despite Madmole’s reluctance. However, just as the two Diabolos members prepare to battle, they are suddenly teleported away by Black Ash.
Despite his doubts about the Fairy Tail wizards, Mercphobia remains attentive as Natsu describes Elefseria’s mission. He discloses that he had faced and defeated assassins sent by the Law Dragon in an attempt to seal him. Recognizing Team Natsu’s peaceful demeanor, Mercphobia extends an invitation for the group to visit his temple.
Mercphobia displays the underwater facilities of the Water Dragon’s Temple, which were specifically created to aid the inhabitants of Ermina Town, as well as a watchtower for detecting any individuals stranded from shipwrecks.
Despite his satisfaction, Mercphobia confesses that he has lost control over his powers, leading to the town being submerged in an unnatural manner. He pleads with the Fairy Tail wizards to end his life in order to save the citizens, but not before he rectifies his greatest mistake. He also reveals that he used to kill humans until he met Karameel, his assistant and the human girl he had grown fond of.
Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest Episode 3: Diabolo Returns as They Now Set Their Eyes on Devouring the White Wizard
On the Diabolos ship, Kiria expresses frustration over the unsuccessful search for Mercphobia. Meanwhile, at the Blue Pegasus guild, Ichiya and The Trimens warmly welcome Jellal, who is visiting. Jellal asks about Touka’s whereabouts but departs when they are unable to provide any new information. Before leaving, Jellal cautions the guild members to stay away from her, without divulging his suspicions.
At another location, Gajeel, Juvia, and Lily persist in watching Touka, closely following their new fellow guild member. Levy tries to convince them to stop, but becomes annoyed and leaves after arguing with Gajeel. The trio tracks Touka to Natsu and Happy’s residence, then returns to Magnolia and eventually finds out that she lives next door to Lucy. However, their mission is cut short when Gajeel and Juvia accidentally fall off a two-story building, much to Levy’s annoyance.
In Ermina, Team Natsu inquires about Mercphobia’s intentions. The Water Dragon reveals that his powers were taken by a mage known as the White Wizard, who intends to use them to restore Ermina to its original state. Natsu agrees to assist him in this endeavor. However, Skullion, Kiria, and Madmole overhear the discussion and make plans to locate the White Wizard and claim the Water Dragon’s magic for themselves.
Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest Episode 3: Touka’s Identity Revealed as the White Wizard while Diabolos Defeats Natsu and Team
Jellal turns to Kagura for assistance in finding Touka. To his surprise, Kagura immediately identifies Touka as the newest member of Fairy Tail, leaving Jellal stunned. He discloses that Touka is the famous White Wizard, who has been alive for more than a hundred years and possesses magic abilities that rival even those of Zeref.
To force the Diabolos members out of his palace, Mercphobia unleashes a water attack against them, which is deflected by Skullion. Taking control of the dragon, Skullion then provokes the Fairy Tail wizards to fight back.
As Lucy and Wendy take care of Karameel and Mercphobia, Gray and Erza engage in battles against Skullion and Kiria. Meanwhile, Natsu manages to defeat Madmole, but his motion sickness hinders his effectiveness against the heavily armored dragon slayer. The latter easily throws Natsu onto the Diabolos ship.
Despite Wendy and Lucy’s attempts to help, Kiria successfully weakens Erza, rendering her unable to defend herself during their battle. Kiria continues to overpower them, managing to disable Mercphobia, Happy, and Carla as well. As Gray fights against Skullion, the latter turns the sea to ash and disintegrates Gray. Meanwhile, Natsu is defeated by Madmole, resulting in all the Fairy Tail wizards being knocked out.
In Magnolia, Gajeel finds himself growing increasingly frustrated with the slow progress of the investigation into Touka and Levy’s situation. As the episode draws to a close, Jellal makes his way towards Touka on the streets and greets her as the White Wizard.
