Famous Male Singer Accused of Shoplifting at Convenience Store

On May 24, Wikitree released a report stating that singer G.Soul had been apprehended for stealing alcohol from a convenience store in Gangseo, Seoul, South Korea. According to the police, the incident took place at 11 PM (KST) on April 19 while G.Soul was under the influence.

After committing the theft, G.Soul fled the country. The police have stated that the singer will be summoned for questioning in regards to the incident. As of now, neither G.Soul nor his management company have issued a statement regarding the theft accusations.

G.Soul, who was born in 1988, joined an SBS television program in 2001 and caught the attention of Park Jin-young, the CEO of JYP Entertainment. As a result, he was accepted as a trainee at JYP Entertainment and made his official debut in 2015. Throughout his tenure at JYP, G.Soul was highly regarded as the company’s “secret weapon”and “ace.”

Despite leaving JYP Entertainment in 2021 to join Warner Music Korea, the singer G.Soul has continued to release numerous high-quality music products. He has also collaborated with Jay Park on several tracks, including “H1GHR,” “Oscar,” and “Afternoon.” In 2016, G.Soul publicly dated female idol Min (Miss A), but the couple announced their split in March 2017.
