Thanks to a new attachment, Warzone players can once again wield one of Modern Warfare 2’s most iconic SMGs, which remains among the top weapons in the battle royale.
There was much discussion surrounding the carry-forward feature when it was announced that Modern Warfare 3 would be joining forces with Warzone. Instead of discarding skins, they would be carried over from MW2 and into the new game alongside players.
Although the transition was smooth, the weapons from the previous game did not fare as well. Many players complained that they were “unusable”in the beginning stages of MW3 and lacked the necessary power to compete. However, this situation has completely reversed in recent weeks.
Weapons from MW2 continue to dominate in the current state of Warzone, and as noted by IceManIsaac, the Lachmann Shroud is making a strong comeback.
During his June 1 video, the Warzone expert highlighted that the SMG is one of the top-performing guns in the game, with a TTK that can rival that of the Superi 46, FJX Horus, and Striker 9.
“According to the speaker, the Lachmann Shroud, which has recently entered the meta, is proving to be a formidable weapon. Its effectiveness is evident in various scenarios, including unexpected ones like mid to long range combat, as seen in the impressive Time to Kill results.”

IceManIsaac pointed out that, while there are limitations in terms of attachments and lack of different ammo types, the SMG is still a strong contender in the meta and can hold its own against top-tier weapons.
The JAK Decimator Conversion Kit is essential in order to fully utilize the capabilities of the Shroud.
Despite being a popular choice, the Rival 9 is not the only SMG that has regained attention in the meta. Following the Season 4 update, it has been highlighted once more for its dominance in Warzone.
