On August 6, YG Entertainment announced that all tickets for 2NE1’s “2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOM BACK] IN SEOUL”were sold out as soon as reservations opened on October 5 and 6. This caused 400,000 people to simultaneously log in to make reservations. As a result, fans have expressed their dissatisfaction with YG’s decision on revenue.
The concert of 2NE1 was open to all fans, not just restricted to official fanclub members. Additionally, each person had the option to purchase up to four tickets and payment for ticket fees could be conveniently made through direct deposit. As a result, it is not surprising that there is a high demand for tickets.
The venue has a capacity to hold approximately 14,000 individuals.
With the celebration of 2NE1’s 15th debut anniversary, there are also plans for the group’s first activity in eight years since their disbandment. As a result, there is a rising demand for a bigger concert venue and more shows to be added.
Despite their efforts, the members of 2NE1 were unable to secure tickets. In a video clip shared by CL, the group can be seen attempting to purchase tickets and expressing their frustration with comments such as, “There’s no way there’s no available seats,””Why am I unable to make a reservation?”and “Is there something wrong with the computer?”
