Fans concerned about Jujutsu Kaisen facing the same fate as Tokyo Revengers

The spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 268 suggested a climax where all characters would survive, leading to comparisons with Tokyo Revengers where the main character successfully saved everyone before the series’ conclusion. This caused a divide among fans, debating whether the author should take his masterpiece to such a potentially ‘controversial’ ending.

In addition, the chapter hinted that Okkotsu Yuta may have survived his battle against Ryomen Sukuna by utilizing Kenjaku’s cursed technique to transfer his consciousness into Gojo. This suggests that he could have evaded certain death as his presence within Gojo’s body seemed illogical.

This article includes the author’s opinion and possible spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series.

The spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 259 began with Sukuna and Megumi having a conversation where Sukuna struggled to keep control of his vessel. Despite Megumi’s understanding of the situation, he refused to give in, ultimately resulting in Sukuna’s downfall and the rescue of Fushigoro Megumi.

Additionally, the chapter’s climax highlighted Maki and Kusakabe’s journey towards Jujutsu High, emphasizing how they were able to overcome their injuries inflicted by the King of Curses. Although the manga has yet to reach its conclusion, it has hinted at a comparable ending to Tokyo Revengers.

Despite the expected conclusion of the Tokyo Revengers manga series, Takemichi, the main protagonist, made one final dive into the past where he first encountered Mikey as a child. Despite the fact that they were not meant to be acquainted, they seemed to have a connection that surpassed all odds.

From that point on, everything fell into place, and all potential disasters that occurred in each timeline were averted. The conclusion of the series saw every character surviving, including those who were expected to perish, causing the ending to be deemed as “controversial.”

Response from the Fans

Despite being one of the most highly anticipated series in recent times, the fandom wasted no time in labeling it as ‘controversial.’ One fan even went as far as to claim that if the ending is as the fandom predicted, the series will not be remembered after a decade.

Additionally, some fans were convinced that the anime could have concluded the series with a more satisfying climax. This viewpoint, however, is highly debated as the TV adaptation has remained loyal to its source material, with the exception of differing fight choreography.

“Greatest new gen they said”a fan said

“No one will remember jjk in the next 10 years”another fan claimed

“We must cope and hope that the anime can deliver a better ending or their own version that’s better on the future”another one claimed

Final Thoughts

As previously stated, the series has not yet reached its climax, so it is recommended for fans not to make any assumptions. However, Yuta’s survival could potentially be a pivotal moment.

Previously, the author mentioned that the climax of Jujutsu Kaisen would be well-received and Gojo’s revival could potentially increase the likelihood of his return. However, it is important to approach this information with caution.
