The trailer for Invincible Season 3 has finally been released, generating excitement among fans with glimpses of new suits and exhilarating battles. However, one prominent character’s absence has stirred considerable concern among viewers.
Following the thrilling conclusion of Invincible Season 2, which took fans on a multiverse journey, the anticipation for Season 3 continues to rise. In the latest trailer, launched on December 7, we catch sight of Mark sporting a striking new blue supersuit and hinting at the introduction of a possible new ally, Kid Omni-Man.
Nonetheless, amidst all the action, the relationship between Mark and Atom Eve remains unresolved, leaving many fans anxious. During his multiverse escapades in Season 2, Mark encountered a future version of Eve, who revealed that her present-day self harbors feelings for him. This storyline took a profound turn, making Eve’s absence in the Season 3 trailer all the more perplexing.
The Absence of Atom Eve in the Trailer
Atom Eve makes a brief appearance during the trailer at the 1:35 mark, where she is seen combatting a menacing dragon. However, fans noticed that this fleeting moment lacks dialogue and a clear view of her face, raising alarms that her role in the upcoming season may be minimal.
Given that Mark and Eve’s relationship is pivotal to the series’ storyline, this lack of visibility does not bode well for fans eager to see their dynamic explored further.
Reactions on social media reflect the fans’ disappointment. One user expressed, “We got the Invincible trailer but at what cost (no Eve)?” while another lamented, “So many Invincible S3 leaks and yet no sign of Atom Eve. I hate it here.”In a humorous take, a fan noted, “Atom Eve just doesn’t exist in Season 3 btw; even Shapesmith got speaking lines in the trailer over her.”
Another fan voiced a plea, “Since I saw no Eve in the Invincible trailer, please don’t mess this relationship up like they did with SpideyMJ or BatCat.” Many fans had hoped to catch even minor hints of their evolving relationship, with one noting, “I know they’re building up the momentum for Mark and Eve’s reunion, but we should’ve at least received some breadcrumbs.”
In other developments, the release approach for this season is set to change; all three initial episodes will debut on February 6 on Prime Video, followed by weekly episodes leading up to March 13. Excitingly, Season 4 has already been confirmed, hinting at ample opportunity for Atom Eve’s character to return and be further developed in future storylines.
