Once again, aespa has become the subject of controversy, this time due to apprehensions regarding the safety of their styling decisions.
For a while, MYs (aespa fandom) have been expressing their dissatisfaction with the styling team’s management of aespa’s costumes, pointing out situations where safety seemed to have been compromised.
Karina, the leader of aespa, has recently faced scrutiny from fans. Several incidents have been pointed out where her outfits appeared to be ill-fitted or potentially hazardous.
The items that hindered her performance on stage included loose hems, broken and mismatched shoes, and uncomfortable attire.

A shocking discovery was made when it was revealed that one of Karina’s outfits still had a sewing needle attached to it. This caused concern among fans as it not only posed a potential danger to the idol, but also to those around her.

The most recent uproar is a result of aespa’s appearance at the 2024 K-WAVE Concert on June 2, during which Karina wore an all-denim outfit.

Although the outfit was visually striking, it soon became a cause for concern among fans who noticed that the denim top seemed to be digging into Karina’s skin.
Despite being renowned for its stiffness and lack of stretch, denim caused discomfort and the risk of injury as it rubbed against Karina’s side and chest while she was performing.
Online photographs and videos captured by fans revealed that Karina’s skin was visibly red, indicating that wearing the outfit for an extended period of time may have caused painful abrasions.

Despite no open wounds being reported, the incident has still reignited anger among fans who are calling for improved treatment and consideration for the safety and well-being of the group.
aespa has recently returned with their debut full-length album, “Armageddon,”and have been actively promoting their music, including making notable appearances at various festivals.
