In online communities, there has been speculation about SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu visiting a club and allegedly requesting for female companions. This has garnered interest and on July 29th, a netizen shared screenshots of a Kakaotalk conversation between a club staff and their friend, alleging that Mingyu had gone to the club to drink and select girls to join his table.
As the revelation gained significant attention and quickly circulated, fans were swift to uncover evidence disproving its validity. Upon noticing that the netizen first hinted at the revelation on July 28th, fans pointed out that Mingyu was occupied that day with updates on his Weverse and evidence of him being at the gym.
Furthermore, upon receiving the video from the club staff, certain individuals closely examined it and argued that the man depicted in the footage did not bear any resemblance to Mingyu.
Some people also doubted the reliability of the X account that shared the information, as they appeared to have purposely spread false rumors that were reminiscent of the previous controversy surrounding Mingyu’s visit to a club in Itaewon during the Covid-19 pandemic, along with other idols.
Following criticism from SEVENTEEN fans, the account has now been set to private.
