Boruto fans are hoping for a single alteration in the main character when the anime resumes to adapt the sequel manga.
Despite facing initial criticism, Boruto has gained a large and dedicated fan base over the years. This was further solidified with the release of the sequel manga, Boruto Two Blue Vortex, which continues the story after a three-year time jump.
The main character of the manga and anime was a troublesome pre-teen in the first part, but has undergone significant changes in the sequel. Boruto’s behavior is no longer driven by a desire for his father’s attention, but rather by his determination to defend the village while Naruto is away.
Fans believe that his personality has undergone a drastic change, becoming much more serious and reminiscent of Sasuke. Additionally, he has become edgier and exhibits a calmer and more collected demeanor. Due to these changes, many fans are doubtful that his previous voice will be suitable for his character in the anime.
Yuuko Sanpei is the voice actor for Boruto in the anime. She is known for her ability to voice male characters, having also portrayed Ui Ui in Jujutsu Kaisen and the titular protagonist in Captain Tsubasa Season 2.
Despite the anticipation for the return of the anime, fans believe that Boruto’s voice should be deeper and convey a sense of serious determination that matches the protagonist’s personality. In fact, they have a specific voice actor in mind who would be perfect for the role.
Yuki Kaji has been chosen by numerous viewers to voice Boruto in the upcoming sequel anime. This renowned artist is well-known for lending his voice to beloved characters such as Shoto in My Hero Academia, Kenma in Haikyuu!!, Meliodas in Seven Deadly Sins, and Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan.
“One user on X/Twitter commented that “Literally, Eren’s VA would be perfect.”Another agreed, stating, “I completely agree. It would be amazing if they cast Eren’s VA.”
A third person suggested that it would be great if they selected Kenjiro Tsuda as the voice actor for Jigen. However, several people noted that this could be excessive as Tsuda’s voice may be too mature for a teenage character.
“According to another user, it is necessary for us to have a similar voice actor with a deep voice, as that is the common practice in most anime.”
Currently, there is no available information on the upcoming Boruto anime. Nevertheless, there is great anticipation among fans due to its success as a profitable franchise for the studio.
