As anticipated, a few minor incidents occurred this year. Despite the absence of any major injuries, fan communities continued to debate the causes of the accidents.

During a relay event, ZB1’s Park Gun-wook and NCT Wish’s Riku were running in close proximity when an accident took place. This incident caused a commotion among their respective fandoms, with some individuals pointing fingers at Park Gun-wook for causing Riku to fall.

The footage of the relay quickly circulated on X (formerly known as Twitter). In the video, Park Gun-wook could be seen trailing behind Riku. Shortly after Park Gun-wook stumbled and fell to the ground, Riku also fell. As a result, NCT Wish supporters voiced their concerns that Park Gun-wook’s actions had caused Riku’s fall. However, ZB1 fans countered this by stating that Park Gun-wook had fallen well before Riku’s trip, making it impossible for him to have touched Riku.

As additional videos surfaced online, certain viewers noted footage that seemed to confirm Park Gun-wook’s physical contact with Riku.

Amidst the ongoing heated debates between the two fandoms, certain individuals shared footage of Park Gun-wook approaching Riku after the relay to offer an apology in an attempt to quell the fanwars. The two idols engaged in a friendly conversation and appeared to be unharmed.
