Fans outraged at Chef Nick’s behavior on Below Deck

Despite only recently joining the crew on Below Deck Season 11, Chef Nick Tatlock has already made quite an impression with his questionable behavior towards the crew in the galley, causing some fans to be put off by his actions.

Chef Nick Tatlock took over for Chef Anthony Iracane on Below Deck Season 11, and it seems his stint on the St. David is not starting out smoothly.

In the May 6 episode of Below Deck, he showed a lack of respect towards stew Paris Field by instructing her to scrub toilets and clean sinks instead of taking her suggestions about his food into consideration.

Chef Nick warned that adding mayonnaise to the wraps he prepared for the crew would cause weight gain.

During the breakfast service, Paris and Chief Stew Fraser Olender both suggested that the chef garnish the food in order to make it more visually appealing to the guests. However, the chef declined to take their recommendations into consideration.

Fraser was put off by Chef Nick’s actions in the galley and decided to address it with Captain Kerry Titheradge. Despite having previously voiced his concerns when Chef Anthony was struggling, the captain advised Fraser to give Nick a chance due to his recent start on the boat.

After watching the episode, fans of Below Deck took to Reddit to call out Chef Nick’s behavior on the show.

One fan expressed their disgust towards the chef for his comments about Paris, particularly regarding her weight and body shape. They described him as a “gigantic ICK.”

After hearing this, another fan shared the same sentiment and expressed that something seemed off with Chef Nick. Despite having high expectations, like many others who hoped he would outshine Chef Anthony, the viewer was ultimately let down.

In another Reddit thread, a fan questioned whether Captain Kerry’s perception of Chef Nick would alter if he inquired about his performance in the kitchen or rewatched the episodes. The fan believed that Nick’s remarks were inappropriate and hoped that the captain could differentiate between his behavior and his culinary skills.

So far, three firings have occurred on Below Deck Season 11 and Chef Nick may also face potential consequences if the stews decide to report his behavior to Captain Kerry.

The airing schedule for Below Deck is Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.
